          Boxey. Note burnout revenge.

          Note the damage on box.

Both sides have damage :/ Took photos for evidence, though there is a sticker saying "parcel force accept no responsibilty for any damage as item is heavier than 25kg". wankers.

              Bloody hell

I'd be in contact with the suppliers to let them know about this as soon as possible, just so they are aware. It also helps you if *god forbid* anything has happened to the screen.

Anyway, when you opening it and posting some impressions with some good pics to compliment it.

Might be a silly question, but does the LG have both a DVI and HDMI socket? If so, what connection is it missing then, VGA?

I'm deffo going for the LG now. I went to Comet today and they had the Sammy and the LG right next to each other. The best bit was each TV was connected to a ?900 Media Centre instead of running the horrible feeds that so many shops seem prone to. The Incredibles upscaled to 720p was so incredibly sexy on both screens

There's so little to chose between the two TVs but the inclusion of both DVI and HDMI on the LG knocks the Sammy out
                    (The Sammy's ****e availability levels online don't help it's cause either )

Yes it does have both and is missing VGA, but you can buy a connector that will allow to use VGA

That's cool. Still, is there no LCD (smaller sizes) that has VGA, DVI and HDMI?

If you need all 3, it can be done on the LG with this converter:

Yeah, but I mean actually built into the TV i.e. no external leads required. you could probably do the same with most TV's (Use the HDMI and VGA slots to run DVI too).

Ah, it may be hard to find what you're looking for

With the DISCOUNT50 code it came to ?652.50 all in, my delivery is booked in for next Friday

Ahh, I'm not looking for one myself. I've already got a very nice LCD set

I was just hypothetically enquiring, because I haven't seen one yet. Is there any reason for this? Why didn't LG just add the VGA to theirs, or why don't Samsung/Sony/Sharp etc. just add a DVI?
