Right, looking for a 26" HDTV. After reading this good things have been said about the LG, which I presume is the 26LX2R.
Before that I was thinking of the Panasonic TX26LXD52.
I can't imagine an LG product being better than a Panasonic one and as they seem to be more or less the sam price, think I'll go Panasonic.
Unless anyone can change my mind or recommend a better one?Last edited by womblingfree; 18-11-2005, 14:30.

This TV is just immense!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe I have this!!!
Pete, see when you set it all up. And you were autotuning or whatever, did you ever notice the backlight a wee bit brighter, then go darker and stay darker?
Its still bright and perfect but it looks better when its brighter for the split second. You noticed what I mean?
Gonna try HL2 right now then I'm away to get my unit, and I'll port some proper pics and impressions after its all set up!

Does anyone know if the a G4 powerbook (12inch in this case) will output a 1360*760 resolution so that I'd get a (pretty much) full screen display.
On apple's website it says the graphics card does.....but for some reason I'm sceptical. Can anyone confirm this?Last edited by bungle; 18-11-2005, 15:31.

There is a small, cheap app called "DisplayConfig X" that will let you add custom resolutions if it is not detected, or you want to send something else.

I've read far far to many threads on what HD LCD set I should buy and I think I've finally managed to at least narrow down my options to a shortlist:
Panasonic TX-32LXD52
LG 32LX2R
Toshiba 32WLT58
All seems to have some pros and cons, but even then its difficult to decide unless you've had each set in your home for a week each. Does anyone have direct experience of comparisons between these sets? Or if you own a particular set from the above and think its amazing convince me how good it is (One thing though, SD images are still important to me whether its via terrestrial/Freeview/Sky).
