Cool, I am sure a full and thorough review will accompany said sets arrival!

I am seriously tempted by the Sharp and even more so if they do honour the price.
I am hopefully moving in the next few weeks (or so my solicitor tells me) and front room TV duty will definitely be going to a Panasonic Plasma (either a 37/42 PX60/Px600 - cant decide!) so I need to sort out my gaming set for my spare bedroom post haste!

I'd personally only go for the Panasonic if you're using progressive content with it. The PD60 I had seemed to smear the image with interlaced content every so often.
Another great deal if anyone is thinking about a projector - this weekend only though, so you'll have to be quick. Toshiba MT-200 480p native DLP Projector for ?330: http://www.dabs.com/ProductView.aspx...3ZB3&InMerch=1
It may only be 480p, but resolution is only one factor of picture quality. For that price, I don't think you could go wrong though. (hell, some bulbs cost that much) Review here: http://www.projectorcentral.com/toshiba_mt200.htm

At 5%, there is noticable overscan when using the Oppo. Setting to 1% solves this, at the expense of slightly bigger boardering when using most PS2/GC games - no biggie, a worthy sacrifice to see the full image on my Oppo etc. AR is preserved, so you can use the Zoom feature if a person is that bothered.
Does make me glad the 360 outputs PC-standard VGA. This screen lets you select DTV or PC for both the DVI-I and HDMI (any future screen I get will have to have this, it'll be a requirement), the PC setting obviously ignoring any overscan settings and just doing 1:1. This pure lack of fiddling was a big reason I ditched the 360 Component cable, which seemed to overscan to some degree no matter what.

Hey everyone
You might not know I'm a hardware reviewer for DVDTimes.co.uk. I decided to try and get an LC-37GE1E for review today.
I asked if Sharp had a sample of the "1920x1080 LC-37GE1E LCD TV" and they told me:
"Hi David
Thanks for your email. The model you have mentioned isn't coming into the UK now, but we will have a range of 1080p models launching at the end of the year, so I can keep you posted on those. ... "
Hmmm. Does that mean the LC-37GE1E is 1080i?...

Here's an explanation:
"Hi David
This model was originally in our roadmap, but it isn't expected to be available in the UK now. Some web sites may have listed it as a forthcoming product, as we did speak to our retailers about it earlier in the year. If it becomes available in the rest of Europe, it will be in September. I hope this helps!
Best wishes,
So according to Sharp it's not getting an official UK release, but that probably won't stop some online stores managing to carry it.

Well it's all over the internet being sold apparently... as said even Amazon list it. It isn't listed at Richer Sounds though, which may or may not be an indicator. Or on Sharp's UK website either. Maybe an email or two to places listing it to ask if they've actually got it in stock might be in order...Lie with passion and be forever damned...

To be honest you would be better off investing a bit more a getting yourself a decent Sony or Toshiba. One of my friends bought a cheapy and was really disappointed in it.
Going by the opinions of Lyris and Andrewfee I directed him towards the V2000 which he bought and was blown away by the difference in quality.
