I really like that silver stand. Silver metal> cheap grey plastic
The swivelly bit?
If so I might be able to do a swap with you

Thanks for the offer but I don't think I'd want to swap. Looking at it again, I don't think that base would suit my TV or the AV rack. It looks great but it's designed for that TV, and it wouldn't look right on another. And if I ever decide to sell, or it goes back to Toshiba under warranty, then I'd probably need the original base
Plus I had a great idea to wall-mount it last night

There's always Toshiba's "floating" stand Richard - if I end up keeping the set, I plan on buying it:
EDIT: No wonder it's so cheap, it's tiny! Went hunting for some pics of it on AV forums to get an idea of the size, and found one with a 37WLT66 attached:
I had thought it was going to be wide enough to have two things side-by-side below the TV, not one.
I'd love to be able to be the kind of person that just has a 360 and PVR under the TV, but unfortunately I can't do that.At the very minimum, I've got my PVR, 360, two amps and a DVD player.
At a push, I could get rid of the 5.1 to free up some space (it's not like I need the HDMI switcher now) but there's still no way all that will fit. (and I'm likely to get a PS3 and Wii at some point)
Looks like I might just be sticking to my dual Opplis for a while longer. (I've gone off the idea of spending ?700 on the Atacama stuff - I'm sure it's lovely, but with all the new hardware / software coming out, I'd rather be spending my money elsewhere)Last edited by andrewfee; 14-11-2006, 08:23.

Leaves the top shelf free, or it would do if my big ass center speaker wasn't there.
