You'll have to mod the TV too ;-)

I take it they have component inputs on austrilian TVs then?

Yu could always buy a seperate box to convert to that

is that even possible? and if it is, would converting muddy the signal and ruin the point of getting the rgb mod done on a 64 in the first place?

From what I remember RGB (scart) and Component are virtually identical in terms of quality and are very easily converted from one to another

I'd just stick with S-Video as you can, in my eyes, barely tell the difference - and I'm fussy about lame **** like that.

I guess its down to personal preference or the TV, but on my TV the difference is pretty noticeable - theres just an extra vibrancy and clarity about the RGB picture that I just dont get with S-Video.

In my experience the difference between S-Video and RGB on the N64 was night and day. I think it depends on the RGB mod. Mine (and others using the same method) are the best I've ever seen.

I noticed S-video sharpened the image up a lot, but colour bleed was much the same as compo****e.

So, I've got my hands on a moddable jap N64 which is in lovely condition and want to RGB mod it. Where can I get a small amount Kynar wire to do the mod, I only seem to find places that sell it in 100m reels or more, or mod places that want a quid for a 30 cm piece?

I did it quite happily using ordinary wire.
