    Slight update to my setup

Got a new amplifier (Yamaha RX-V359) for my surround sound so I can finally use my centre speaker!

Here are some new pictures of my room, the first new images I've taken of it since last August. Please take note that these images were taken with my cellular phone's digital camera, so the quality won't be the best:

<--- I got this today from eBay. It's a rare Shenmue strategy guide from Dengeki Dreamcast.

The Cabinet is new, if it gets full then the rule is I have to trade an old game before I can add a new one. Bit of room for DS game growth but PS2/Cube section is getting tight.

The TV is very old and pretty small but I've grown used to it over the years. I do dream of getting a projector, or at least a widescreen one day though...hopefully the next time I post up in here I'll be coming more correct
Bought a 26" Samsung TV and actually ended up with a 32" (how lucky is that) so thought it was time for an update - saving for a 360 now...

The unit is from Ikea - as is pretty much every thing in my place Really enjoying the TV for films but gaming on it is taking a little getting used to. Everything is so damn BIG!!! Played Resi Evil 4 and a bit of poo came out.

Figured I better take a quick shot or two of my setup, despite the lack of 360 as it has been packed up ready to be sent back to MS! Can you guess where it went?

PS2 is the only console hooked up at the moment via RGB so it doesn't look particularly great, but SOTC is still pretty running on the TV...which is the 32" LG. Monitor is a 19" viewsonic and the PC is me lovely Shuttle

When I get my 360 back I'll put some care into the photo to show off the TV proper!

Following a recommendation from Geezer in the LCD/Plasma/CRT/DLP recommendations thread, I picked up the Acer AL1916WS widescreen monitor for my 360.

Personally very happy with it, so then decided I needed some new shelves in the study to put it on....

Blimey, you've got my TV (well, 32" ver.) AND speakers!

I got the same TV (Aussie version) and speakers as well.
Would put up some pics but the only digicam I have is my phone.

I use that same monitor and although it's not the perfect resolution for the 360 its definately a good cheap source for HD gaming.

What resolution do you use on it? I'm using 1280x720 and letting the sides get a little cut off (never ever cuts off anything which is of any importance) as any other resolution looks like they're a bit squished due to the 16:10 aspect ratio.

(This is Myth, keep logging into girlfriends account by mistake)

I agree - seeing as the 360 is up in my study, I didn't want to spend too much on a display. For the price, the end result is sweet. The 2 games I currently have (Kameo and COD2) both look as good as they could do to my unsophisicated eye

1360x768 at the moment, but might play around with some other settings. I have only had it a short while, so not had time to fully explore...

For PC's, you should use the native resolution of your screen. If your screen is 1366x768, then you should use that resolution and not 1280x720.

The native resolution is 1440x900 so we can't use our native resolution on the 360.

Is the whole native resolution thing the same with LCD TVs or is the technology different?
