I've been really tempted by that tv for a while now however I've heard it suffers from major geometry problems, especially in the corners. What do you think of it?

You can see the geometry problems in that picture!! All the blades at either side at bent inwards!!

My setup. I'm amazed by how few cables you guys seem to have, mine are like an explosion behind the TV >_<. Planning to get a Joytech AV Centre 2 and a Logitech Harmony 850 remote (the programmable ones with the colour LCDs) to tame the insane complexity of doing just one thing this Christmas.

My Japanese Wii is soon (~3 weeks) to fill the spot to the left of the TV, heh ^_^

It does suffer from very slight geometry problems, but it is hardly noticable. The only time I noticed it was when Ridge Racer was loading and the text was scrolling along the bottom of the screen. There were 2 reasons I bought it. 1st was that I didn't want to get a flat screen as I feel non-HDTV content doesn't look good on flat screens yet (compared with a CRT at least). Second was that it was CDN $599, which is less than I paid for a non-HDTV Toshiba 28" CRT widescreen TV 18 months ago. It is good value for the money IMO.

Quick snap of my setup as it is now:

Still need to hook up my stereo speakers again, but I've now boxed up all my old systems. (will have to get a PS3 and Wii to fill up the space...)

What are the switchers and other boxes your using there?

The little one in the middle is an amp I think. Can't remember who's though.

It is. The middle set of shelves is:
                        • Oppo DV971H Upscaling DVD Player
                        • Topfield TF5800 Twin-Tuner Freeview PVR
                        • Cyrus 7 stereo amplifier (only got my Grado SR-80 headphones hooked up atm, soon to be GS-1000s)
                        • Sony HTSS1000 amp with 2:1 HDMI switch. (giving me a total of four HDMI inputs)

And that's my Toshiba DLP projector on the bottom right. (still not sold it yet) 480p native (best for DVDs) 2500:1 contrast, 132/3000 hours on the bulb, ?400. Amazing picture, just can't accommodate a projector.

I'm pretty sure it's the famous Duoppli....

(two ikea Oppli's modified and fitted together)

Nice and focused. The setup I mean, with the folding chair. Not the photo.
