only bad point is the backlight you would need to turn it off at night as its too bright imo(even on the lowest setting)

After I took it back I had major withdrawal and ending up selling my house from underneath my mum (who was renting offa me) so I could blow nearly 2k on my own HG ready display.
It's an Optoma Themescene HD72i. Cost £1,750 last March so is probably a bit cheaper now.
Click meh!
Those shots are a bit blurry and blue as it's dark and I can't have the flash on. I can guarantee the RGB balance and sharpness is spot on. I can't recommend a better projector for that price.
There was one problem in that the internal memory wasn't storing my settings and would randomly reset to factory settings. After almost a year of this (and about 1,600 hours of FFXI usage) I got them to change it for a fresh one with a fresh bulb. So, top service also.

I suffer a rainbow effect with DLPs, so I had to go LCD for mine.
But I agree mate, once you try an HD projector, you'll never regret it!
Cheapo 720p projector against a blind...
I love looking at peoples setups.

After selling off the vast majority of my collection (20+ consoles, 250+ games & various bits n' bobs) here's my new lean, mean, highly 'streamlined' set up.......currently relegated to the dining room table.....
