Had my projector set up in the kitchen the last few days. Wii sports at xmas with the family:
(everyone loved it)
and playing some Super Castlevania IV this morning. (pointing at the opposite wall, as I can get a longer throw distance)
(you can just make out a 14" CRT on the left for a size comparison)
I just wish my room was suited to using the projector full-time, but I think I'll be setting it up in the kitchen more often now. (it's been sitting gathering dust the last few months)

There was a cheap projector going over here, called an AE700. I had to buy a new bulb, but it seemed pretty good for a few hundred quid. It's only 1280x720 (720p) but still pretty cool.
The study has a blind which is 2m b 1m in size, and a shelf at the back. So I just took down the normal 19inch Dell monitor and plugged the 360 in to the panny.
I was surprised by the quality, if an old Pojector like the AE700 (300 quid used + bulb) can do this, the new ones at 1080p must be awesome!
Bit of a gamble buying used, but hey I fancied some big screen fun....
