As for that 1080i "problem", It didnt start till after a few hours after using it, not really in issue, the pic in that mode is as sharp as Sean Bean....tho I can notice it on XBMC's dark background.
That reach around is a complete pain isnt it ft:
I'm quite lucky though in that my Amp does component switching so I got round it quite easily

As for the 1080 thing your right it is pin sharp & that issue is only shown on a completley dark background from what I can see...I've been playing GoW & Pinata lately & I havent noticed it on either & a fair chunk of Gears is dark so I think I may have become immune to it lol

Glad to hear it's all going well though.
Just a complete pain about the RGB thing

      behold my distinctly average setup!

Ada and Solidus guarding my graffiti, architecture and design books and a piffling selection of GC games

Xbox, PS2 and PSP games (guarded by Master Chief, just out of shot)

      the horror that is cabling

my crap telly and stickered PS2 (and more games)

my Xbox, aging dvd player, Freeview box, 10 year old VCR (which still works perfectly) and a copy of Transformers: The Movie

Well, now that I've got myself a 360 I figured it was time to do one of these.

The newest addition, resplendent on ghetto foam decoupling which is needed otherwise the whole floor vibrates - the joys of suspended floors (not!)

This is what it sits next to - the very untidy computer desk and 19" TFT which it spends a good proportion of it's time hooked up to.

This is the main screen though - 60" wide 720p projector. Looks very washed out in the picture but it's decent in reality. I know the in-game shot is rubbish but there's a reason for that....

My boy was playing his favourite game (Amped3) and wouldn't let me change it or pause it at the time (schmaltzy I know but hey ho)

Tucked behind the TV is the obligatory import switched GC put into a nice white shell There used to be an xbox1 here as well but I sold it to fund the 360

Just about the only part of my gaming collection which is actually in any order, my GC games! other games for my other systems are randomly strewn around the house!

Old Skool FTW! keepin' it real with the DC setup in the bedroom hooked up to an ancient (RGB though) 25" Panasonic. It's also hooked up to a Denon AV receiver and some rather lovely Rogers floorstanders - Rez is a blast!

2 Random shots just for the hell of it. It was only when taking these photos that I realised just how much gaming crap I still have. Not shown are my PSP games, Megadrive games, any of my Saturn games or peripherals, my other Dreamcast, my other gamecube, my 2 (why?) Gamecube force feedback wheels, My Dreamcast wheel or lightgun, my SNES, My Gameboy(s) collection, Gatchapon, hundreds (literally) of magazines and mooks and other random paraphernalia. And this is AFTER a recent clearout. I know it's not much compared to many people on here, but I've been trying to keep my gaming spend under control for years now. Guess I failed!

Here's my humble set up as it stands at the minute:

It's a pretty lean set up:
          Toshiba 32" LCD (32WLT66)
          Xbox 360
Humax PVR9200T (160GB twin freeview recorder)
          360 HD-DVD drive
          Nintendo Wii
          Yamaha CRXM170 DAB/CD Player/Amp
KEF bookcase speakers on Alphason stands (only 1 shown!)

Nice and neat! That ikea entertainment unit fits over 100 DVDs underneath, but no more room for consoles or gizmos! hehe

            Very nice!

The wii looks great like that. I have it vertical, but with Gamecube stuff sticking out of the top it looks rubbish!

Cheers, yeah it does look nicer horizontally if you're like me and always want to have a gamecube mem card and wavebird dongle plugged in at all times!!

I just finished putting a new telly cabinet together (as in I assembled a flat pack, didn't make it myself!) this evening so I thought I'd post my little movie and gaming area in the spare loft room. Gaming stickers on the wall in the background are covering up cat claw marks

In the very near future there will be a PS3 on the shelf next to the 360/HD DVD and I'll squeeze my Wii in somewhere when I get it back from Nintendo's repair shop. Probably next to the logitech sound control box.

as you can see its a very small set up and i need to redecorate this year.
does me well though only really use the 360 for games and the xbox1 for tv shows.

My basic setup, minus PS3 which should be arriving shortly (can't be bothered taking all my older consoles and games out of their boxes and takings pics of them!). Also sorry for the quality... taken on my phone:

                                - Sony Bravia W2000U 40"
                                - Sony HTSF1000 Surround Sound 5.1. System (with HDMI supported receiver). The Subwoofer is out of shot, to the right of the cabinet/stand.

...and a slightly older pic, pre-speakers:
