Why thankyou, its simple but functional. Best of both worlds n all that. And the sign the monkeys holding? I knew what it said, i used to have it on my door, pinched it from an arcade years ago. Now acts as a safeguard against me abusing my monkey!

its a philips 21pt5409, flat screen. Picked it up for 50 quids second hand, which i thought decent! Its only issues are theres about 1.5 cm of screen missing at the top (left when tate'd) and the sound seems to go quiet for a few seconds after really bassy explosions (raiden II). Games where you can adjust the screen settings work fine naturally. Both these things are probably specific to just my tv tho.

Mine does the same, cutting off a bit of the bottom and leaving a massive border at the top .

oh **** YES! I googled for 'philips service menu', found a code, got into the secret menus and adjusted it. it be PERFECT now.

@montario , thanks for the model no could you adjust the screen vert and hori ? and change the size too , sounds interesting

@geezer , no luck yet mate .. keeping my ear to the ground , i managed to adjust my tosh but it only adjust's vertically (better than nothing tho) which i tought was weird

Nice could you please tell me how to get into the service menu on your screen ? might have to pick one of these TV's up.

just press 062596 quickly followed by the i+ button, which is the onscreen display toggle thingy.



and BOOM! howzat...

also.. one thing i'll say is this tv doesn't do Svideo unforetunately. So it's fine for consoles but not so much if you're planning on tvouting from a pc. Have to force composite video if your card can do that.
