And at least you've got enough space to sit back and watch it from a distance instead of trying to jam it in a space where you only sit a foot away from the screen.

Yeah, I checked freeview HD was available round here before buying, as there was a similar model with standard freeview that was about £100 cheaper. Just watched the Argentina game in HD and was pretty impressed with it when I flicked between it and the SD BBC1 picture. It's THX approved too, and has a setting for it, but I can't be arsed to read the manual to find out what it does.

Lucky man...the Argie game looked immense didnt it??
Such a huge difference between the SD & HD broadcast.
I have THX mode on the G20 as well & it pretty much just sets everything to the best settings for natural movie reproduction & it works well.
Deffinitley try it with a movie tonight...well worth it.
Also on my set you can open up a whole raft of picture tweaking options that even let you start fiddling with the R G B settings individually & tweak the gamma as well.
Havent started on fiddling with it yet until I get the DVE Basics setup Blu Ray but it's a feature that I'm looking forward to playing with.

How can you resist opening the box?
It's getting a bit duller now so tried a blu ray, looked good. (But toy story looks good on any TV!) By the time the England games finished it should be dark enough to get a proper feel for the image and get it set up right. Obviously a Panasonic or similar would give a better image, but i'm not mega picky so i'm feeling happy with it so far.
This is toy story 2, i'll try for better pics once it's dark.............
