It does look quite dodgy now that you mention it. THe lotion is my wife's hand lotion and the sex toy looking object is my wife's hair dryer. As for the tissues, well they are normally on top of the stereo but since I'd just put a CD in there, the tissues ended up on the floor. THey're still there now next to my feet as I type this

      Here's my room...

Ikea Oppli surrounded by Acoustic Energy Aegis Three speakers, (home to Ken Masters and a Canon bubblejet). Oppli houses a chipped PAL PS2 complete with Ryu controller, Sky box, PAL Dreamcast, NAD 310 amp, PAL Xbox and US SNES. Sitting on top is an old Amiga monitor with Scart input, (best TV picture ever!), Philips 28" TV for 4:3 gaming - (lightgun games need a good home), and a telemephone. Lego Millenium Falcon, AT-AT and Star Destroyer keep the TV safe from evil spirits.

Computing end of the room. Although you can't see it I have a p4 2.66GHz, 1GB RAM with GeForce FX 5200, (enough to play Doom 3, although the 3GHz, Radeon 9800 Pro at work handles it a bit better).

Hyper SF poster from Play-Asia and frame from Athena. SSF2T poster from retro CEX before they moved, ?10, yay!!

Lights ?10 each from Ikea, Simpson's Moe clock from the Gadget Shop.

Desk from MFI. Big rectangle with no fuss. Super cool as the Samsung 171s flat panel monitor, (showing Doom 3 front end), can be pushed back allowing for a full desk for drawing, fiddling, etc...

Side wall. SF3 poster from ex-CEX again, framed in Athena frame.

Top shelf: Transformers Jazz, SF pads, (very nice), bit char-g skyline, assorted guff.

Middle: Random CDs, England flag, PS, Zooo & pokemon, all 4 futurama box sets, gba game stacker, famicom gba sp, Rise of the Robots, (including music by Brian May), Buzz Lightyear, N64 games and more random CDs.

Bottom: Printer consumable, memory card box, SF Chun Li pad, PS2/Xbox game boxes, CD holders, (I'm going to have a thousand of these when I'm old), GBA, stack of random CDs, Porsche 911, more random CDs.

      Back wall. SF3 Alex again.

Top shelf: masses of warhammer 40k and PC accessories. Big supply of pens on end.

Middle: Pending ebay auctions, boxes of controllers, leads, switches, CD drives and anthing else that couldn't possibly be thrown away.

Bottom: GW paints, Bloodbowl, dead Ryu figure, mini buzz, crap, DC arcade stick, more crap, England beer fridge, yay!!

      Dimmer from Focus.

Scart switchers. Argos specials. Means I can switch inputs all over the place without wearing the sockets on the TV and monitor. Both feed into the amp and so both VDUs are set to 0 volume.

      Toy Story pig, (Ham), empty

Viewtiful Joe poster from Play-Asia framed in Athena clip frame. Double roller blinds can be seen too, for when games must be played at midday on a blazing hot, bright summer's day

      Gaming perfection!!

The Ikea bench must be the best selling item of furniture EVER - Ive seen it in more setups than I can count! Its great though, I used to have one also, some people make two benches into one also Ive seen which is pretty neat.

No, I do not live in the leaning tower of Piza.

Xbox, Digibox and DVD recorder live underneath the 32" Tosh, whilst PS2 and Cube live on upper areas of that incredibly tall Ikea Alve thing (both are awaiting extension cables in fear of accidently pulling them off when I'm knee deep in F-Zero), whilst 2 year old PC (which somehow runs the Sims 2 like **** off a shovel) lives in the bottom area with a laserjet on its head.

Games live on the shelves you can't see, slightly to the left.

I'd love one of those oppli benches, if only you could modifyit to make the middle section wider.

Yeah, I think that just might put the shelf over the limit. Mind you, the Wondermega is really heavy but that looks 1 million times more sexy than a Xbox.

There's a lot more detail on my site, but here's some pics of the setup as it is most days.

                  Front:
Panasonic 42" Plasma running HK DVD2520S, Gamecube, and PS2 in Prog Scan. Sony STR-DB930 5.1 500W amp (needs changing, I know). Tannoy Mx3's for Left & Right, and MxC for Center.

                  Back:
Tannoy Mx2's at the rear, and the eagle-eyed amongst you will notice the docking station for my Philips Pronto.

                  Media Cabinet:
Super Famicom and US Gamecube collection on top shelf, with PS2 sharing remainder, and continued a few shelves down with some NTSC PS1 stuff. DVD's and CD's take up the rest of the shelves.
Bottom shelf holds boxes for the SFC, NGC, and PS2 along with somecontrollers for them.

Holy crap do you live in a Habitat store or something, your living room looks mint.

It certainly does! Don't suppose you need a lodger do you?

My only slight concern would be the height of the screen...is it not a bit like sitting on the front row at the cinema? Other than that i can move in next week if you like.

                        Heh, thanks guys.
The screen was maybe 1ft higher before I got the walls plastered and cables buried, but I lowered it because it was a bit of a strain on the eyes/neck. The top of the TV is about 6ft 4ins and it's perfect, from either of the two sofas.

I could be doing with a 50" plasma like Marcus, but they're still too rich for my blood!

Razu, that's one amazing Viewtiful Joe poster! I'd love to get ahold of something like that (only without all the overlaid text) and do a custom cover for it to replace the goddawful US one.

                          Well, here's mine:

Sony KLV26HG2 (LCD) running F-Zero GX in 480p, as well as a Freeview decoder, Dreamcast (PAL), and a cheapy AV Selector I'm using for Component Video (can't see any degredation at all and see no reason to blow 80 pounds on a better one). The shelves above have some of my gaming stuff.

Edit: not pictured: Pioneer DV668AV and Pioneer CLD2950 LaserDisc player.

I use a ?6 A/V switcher for all my component inputs too mate and I see no damage to the signal. It just shows what a con all this garbage the AV industry feeds you is.

                              Bada Bing!, sweet room

Lyris, cheers, it's just a play-asia poster in an athena clipframe. You have to trim them down a little, (2cm or so), but they look cooler without any kind of border. Those photos don't really do them justice, game posters in frames look amazing in real life.
