Today I bought a glass AV rack from a store local to me, it fits everything in nicely enough and cost me ?249. Notably, my Gamecube is missing from the picture, its currently in a bag in my wardrobe as I need the component input and cant warrent the little time I spend using it anymore. It will resurrect, but for the time being there is more than enough on the PS2 and XBox to keep me happy.

The only other thing I may plan to buy is a Arcam FMJ power amp to complement at A32, first impressions of the amp are good but I wonder if its lacking the thump of my last amp+power amp setup. I need to do more tweaking to be sure though.

I also need to hide the wires properly, but thats a job and a half I tell ta.

Uli, my Xbox dash is a hacked Microsoft dashboard. I have a few themes, like Halo for example, but love this one the most, it also plays random music from Silent Hill 3 soundtrack in the background. It was constructed for me by Inertia who has made numerous Xbox dashboards on his site.

              Madbury, nice man

madbury's would be nicer if i didn't have to twist my neck to view them

how much was the cab dude - and what is it packing?

and what sharp tv is that in the bottom pic?

Yeah sorry about that. Charles is hosting them, so I can't change the orientation.

Cab was ?250 It is basically a brand new cab (very small dent in one corner). It's Chinese in origin so its their version of a Japanese cab. Its actually quite small which suits me fine, but has a 29" rotatable monitor so the picture is nice and big. Purchased it from a guy in Romsey.

The sticks and buttons again are Chinese, but they are all microswitched (natch) and actually have a good feel to them. The button layout is wired so that the top 4 are set up for Neo Geo and the bottom 3 are free for installing a kick harness which I don't have. Cab also has twin speakers which are plenty loud enough, lockable doors and coin box and a working coin mech that accepts UK 10p, but obviously I could switch it out for a proper UK one.

Its wired for JAMMA, so I'm using a MVS 1F motherboard to play my MVS carts. I need to adjust the picture as it is a little blured, but I can't bare to turn it on and not have a go.

TV is a sharp 28" widescreen, which I picked up last year. It was pretty cheap for what you got back then (around ?350 I think). Reason for purchase was the fact that it has 3 scart sockets on the back and inputs on the front, so its ideal for my needs. Doens't do anything flash like prog scan though

But I have to know, why on earth do you have an Atari Lynx?!?

What is the make of that rack? I think its the same as mine.

Can I make a suggestion on your hifi though Marcus. See if you can borrow a couple of bookshelf speakers like these:

Those are BW601 S3's. See if your local hifi store will let you borrow their display set [most will do for a 50 quid deposit or something] I suspect given your room size and quality of these speakers you'll get a much improved sound that you get from those floor standers [Assume you have decent speaker cable] without having to go down the power amp route.

                        Cheers,
                        Neil.

Cheers, there are a few games missing from the wall cabinets. Actually its all my own doing, but given the space (allocated by the girlfriend) they're pretty dandy wall units that can take a lot of goodies.

The lynx was a sort of spur of the moment thing. There are some good games on it Steel Talons, Chips Challenge etc etc. I got the lynx fairly cheap and everything else I picked up from Game when they restocked Lynx stuff about 18 months ago.

                                Neil I will PM you...
