wow, nice arcade setup. a few questions regarding Atomiswave cabinets:

1. can you change the skins of the cabinet?
2. do games come in a retail box with complete with manual etc.?
3. and would you mind to post a pic of an Atomiswave cartridge and box?

You can change the art on the cabinet if you want yes, there is art available, they are the same design as the EGRET3 cabinet ,so you can readily buy the art and change it to that if you like. http://hard--candy.com/index.asp?page=Egret+3

If you buy boxed kits they come in a kit box with a manual as such, but I only usually buy bare PCB's (printed circuit boards) as you usually end up paying too much for art and manuals which aren't used (I use photocopied art).

I don't own an atomiswave system, I just play JAMMA stuff in them, they will work with most arcade games.

some pics of my living room system setup which got a major update in the past year with a new AVR and TV.

i hope i'm now fully prepared for the digital content coming in, let's say, the next 5 years.







AVR: Denon AVR-3808 -- the heart and command centre of my setup with 4 x HDMI and 3 x component video inputs. high-end picture and sound at a reasonable price, easy to setup and use. also some great features such as USB device support, network and media streaming functionality, internet radio, compressed music restorer, 1080p video scaling, and easy firmware updating via internet. i just miss a fully backlighted remote.

TV: Toshiba 52-ZF355D -- this is most probably my best value for money product i've purchased in the past years: 52" 1080p LCD screen, slim frame design, super sharp and crisp picture, HDMI 1.3a (CEC + xvYCC support), 100Hz video processing (on/off), 24p (5:5 pulldown), auto backlight control with reasonable black levels, manual color adjustment and great build-in Onkyo speakers (though i rarely need them)

Aki, that is one of the greatest setups I have ever seen!!! Totally amazing.

A question for you: where did you get the units that the HDTV and consoles are setup on? They are very sturdy looking indeed and look like they do an ace job of hiding cables.

I've upgraded a lot of my stuff and moved house since I last posted in here, and I know have my own room completely given over to games and films. Here goes...





The TV is still a Panasonic TH42PZ80, and the receiver is an Onkyo TX-SR507. It has four HDMI inputs, and my 360 (UK Elite), PS3 (US 60GB), Blu-ray player (Samsung BD-P3600), and DVD player (Pioneer DV-400V) are all connected through them.

The picture that you can see the bottom of in the top shot is this BioShock lithograph, which I'm in love with:
