Close - they are 10.1s at the front and 10.0s at the back. Sound awesome

Is that a collection of internal fans underneath your 360??

Nah, those are fans I removed from my system (PC). They're 500rpm Gentle Typhoon.. Utter rubbish for cooling.

Updated my setup, it looks a little cold but it is very comfortable to use.

        CRT with SD consoles.

        HD running Virgin/Xbox and DVD.

A lot of gaming storage up top, this is all bar PS1 and SNES.

        Final overview.

It is a lot wider than it looks, fits the room nicely. One the other side of the door is the second half of the room so it feels nice and big. The surround setup is not ideal, but it works for me and the sub gives enough bass. The rear speakers sit on the flat arms of the couch perfectly.

While i'm on holiday from work and up at my Scottish place, i've had to cobble together a little gaming set up from bits that were around the house in the spare room, as I didn't want the gaming stuff in the living room. Surprisingly not missing my 60" TV from the London place for gaming that much. PS3 running through a monitor, and connected for sound to the big Sony stereo on the left that I must've owned for about 17 years, but still sounds awesome. Little LCD from the kitchen with a modded xbox hooked up for retro. Vita and Go for when I fancy a bit of gaming downstairs while watching telly and spending time with the family. (Obviously not giving them my full attention though..........) Going to re-jig my London set up when I get back down, in the mood for a new amp/speakers etc.

Small high def PC monitors are best for console gaming. Especially fighters~

            Nice little setup there.

I like it, you are lucky to have the space to have 2 screens side by side like that. All you have to do is split your mind in half and you could do dual gaming - retro on the left, current on the right
I would be awfully tempted to split up that gaming storage at the top so it ran along the whole wall rather than having to stack games on the top. I have a similar setup and am thinking of adding another shelf to avoid game stacking, might put up a pic later to show what I mean.

Small comfy setups are better than everything, FACT

You know what, i've actually quite enjoyed playing on that little set up, but i'll be happier when i'm back in the flat with the mahoosive telly instead.

                    Cheers Fader.

Yeah I am looking to change it a bit but we have just moved into this place and need to know our limits of mods we can make to the place in terms of shelving etc. I would love to have had two of the big units really but not enough room. Those plastic boxes just in shot house 40 SNES gams and over 100 PS1!

                    Be interested to see yours.

Meh, got a small room, with a nice sofa close to a small TV which is win, barely ever play in the lounge with my silly expensive sound system and 1.5 metre screen

I'm off work this week so I've tidied the flat and thought I'd take a couple of pictures; by that I mean all the boxes & controllers are successfully hidden in cupboards. Given I live in a studio flat and there is gaming paraphernalia everywhere, this is pretty much the full "Through the Keyhole" experience.

As best a wide angle shot as I can get, from the front door.

The back bit - Mac Mini hooked up to a 24" monitor, laptop to the vert monitor, Yuri Lowenthall protecting my router and phone, a DoDonPachi Dai Ou Jou poster I love to bits, and a guitar I wish I could play.

The poster on the opposite wall to that one gets its own picture as a mark of respect.

28" CRT directly in front of the sofa hooked up to the V+ box and a chipped PS2. Some PS2 games, a Kinect + Eye sat on top, and some controllers underneath. The following sticks are down there; 360 Hori VLX, PS3 Hori RAP3, 360 Madcatz TE, 360 Madcatz SE (full Seimitsu mod), PS1/2 Namco, PS1/2 SNK stick, DC official stick x 2, and PS3 custom full Sanwa job. There are more sticks stashed away elsewhere too, because I have a problem.

Shelves - some CDs/DVDs/books escaped the cupboard treatment, but 3/4 is still just games. There's another layer of stuff behind most of these too, and all kinds of LEs and figures and whatnot dotted about wherever they will fit. Not especially happy with these units as the left will not stop leaning no matter what I do, but they were here when I arrived and there's no point doing anything about 'em. I uploaded a full res version of this if you want to be nosy!

Took this so you could better see the unit where all the electronic bits are. V+ box, Samsung 5.1 thing (and one of the rear speakers), Optoma HD700x projector + 3D-XL box, 3 x 360s (NTSC-J, NTSC-U, PAL), 2 x Wiis (NTSC-J, PAL), and a PS3 (PAL). There's an NTSC-J Dreamcast and a PAL Gamecube underneath too, and in front of the sofa you can see the handy tray thing that currently has my iPad and Vita on.

And lastly just a quick shot of the image coming out of the projector. There's floorstander speakers (just like the rear one) either side, image is about 80" or so and I've two pairs of 3D glasses too - still not fully convinced by 3D but I was curious enough to try the upgrade.

I cleaned up all the wires behind my gaming wall today. Man, what a mess that was. Even with all the dust cleaned away it still looks a right mess.

Thank God the TV has a billion ports on it otherwise I'd have to buy an extension box, adding to the mess.

Luckily from the front is doesn't look that bad. This picture was taken while the room was still a mess but you get the idea. Everything is plugged in and ready to go. Plus everything runs it's audio through the Dolby Digital amp.

Right, tomorrow I'll clean up behind the PC corner. That has just as many wires and wall sockets used as well. 3 wall sockets just for bloody modems and routers. Thanks NTT with your crazy arse set up OH:

Wires are a pain are they not. I just stuff all mine down the back of my unit so not really all that noticeable. If you want everything plugged in and available it is a nightmare of plugs and power supplys though.

Good to see some of you still have room for a CRT for the retro stuff.
