It comes with a VGA board, and an extra board of your choice.

So you could get a SCART board - use that for devices you want to hook up via RGB, then connect everything you want to use with component via the VGA input.

Can you get Progressive Scan and the likes through VGA? And obviously, you can buy Componant to VGA cables I presume.

        Yep on both accounts!

Im going to be buying a silver one of these in the next couple of months, going to spend a little extra and get a scart and component board just in case, will always leave me a little leg room!

          Sweeet.

Got a question while we're on it.

With Componant leads, what's the maximum length you can buy before you start to lose quality? As i'd want to loop them under my room. Cheers.

            yes and yes,

here is a component to vga cable the black and white cables don't get used. [note this only works for panasonic plasmas which can take component through the vga socket ]

anything over 15M and I would expect problems.

Not sure on maximum length while retaining picture quality, I presume you wouldnt need anymore than 10m or so though? Even that would be pretty damn expensive!

Hmmm. I'd need around 7 to 10 meters. What's that rolling in at ??? wise?

Depends what your display is -

I'd say though that on your Toshiba CRT, given its limited resolution, you dont need really pricey stuff.

It wouldn't be on a CRT.

For an average cable you are probably looking at about 150 quid at that length. Check out www.hificables.co.uk

Done a bit of rearranging and can now access everything from the end of my bed!!! Not everything is in picture as I'm not sure where to put them yet (SC2 sticks in particular) and I need to do something about touching up the bare wood.

I'd be more worried about the ventilation ports on your Xbox and GC being covered up! Seriously, they need a lot of space on either side, particularly the Xbox which gets very hot, very quickly

It looks good though Nice work

there's actually plenty of room inside don't worry - only 1 side of each console is covered up.
