I could be doing with a 50" plasma like Marcus, but they're still too rich for my blood!

yep, i thought so too and ordered a 42" plasma recently. it supports progressive scan and is said to be fully HDTV compatible - although it's got only a 852x480 panel. but i am very much looking forward to it because i am upgrading from a 32" screen!

what resolution does your plasma have? if it's the same how does PAL DVD stuff with 560 lines look like on it? is the picture less sharper or is the image reduced in size?

As a question to you guys, generally most people ive spoken to see the image as the be all and end all, but i think that sound is the most imersive part of a game, it sucks you in. So i set my sound first. Yamaha DSP-e800 Denon dm30 and linn kabers with denon sats, no need for the sub as the kaber out power all but biggest. Now i'm looking for the plasma, debating lowe or fujitsu. What do think is the best option?

Elmos_Pimp I cant speak for the Lowre, but I own (currently selling after being replaced by the Panny) a 42" Fujitsu and was more than happy with it, Id say that for gaming especially it really impresses, games look lovely in progressive scan.

I finally got myself a gaming setup, so to speak. After getting together a 3 month plan of tidying my bedroom - it is what you see below. Before I had all my consoles on the floor and had to pick them up and put them on my bed each time I wanted to play. It's just so nice not having to do this any more.

New bits are the Famicom + Disk System MiniDisc holder (one of the most pointless things i've brought, but it looks nice + its handy for storing excess gashapon) and the Mario World Stage figures. The small boxes are Mario Fridge magnets, the missus wouldn't like it if I stuck them on the fridge so i'll leave them in the boxes for the mo.

With a small child on the way its best not to have any on teh fridge. Suppose theres always the microwave

I got it from Yes Asia for 60 odd pounds and I got free P&P, which they may still offer.

Word of warning when you open it up your bedroom will smell of Deep Heat - but of course if you're like me and love that smell you should be okay. It's for the PC BTW.
