Thats what i call an old skool setup. Remember playing games on a 14" tv, ah the good ol days. You can really get into a game when your sitting bang close to the screen, i dunno in some ways i'd prefer that over the somewhat "disconnected" experience of playing the game on a 42" plasma or giant projector. My dreamcast won't be separated from my 15" crt monitor even though iv'e got a decent sized widescreen tv

I was borrowing a mates projector yesterday, (Postman Pat was the first disc to hand.,... The joys of fatherhood) and I found it was great for Driving games & Ace combat. But that was about it.
I'll try a FPS tonight, just to be sure. I tried to take a photo with my cameraphone, but it didn't really work.Last edited by capcom_suicide; 18-04-2007, 08:50.

Well, After all you guys had left my bash that night I tidied up and moved my computer table back to where it was and had the projector on the back shelf - it reached all the way across to the adjacent wall where it was being displayed previously - only in 16:9 and 720p. 8)
I reckon I should be alright casting from 6m away if that little Sanyo I had managed it.
Hitachi - Sanyo
Contrast: 7000:1 - 450:1

I'd still recommend the Z4 over it. I've just ordered one myself. I know a lot of the reviews go for the Hitachi but they're a load of **** (the latest on projector central reckons the Z4 is as good as the H79 ), one of them compared the Hitachi through component to the Z4 through svideo ..duh. Just stuff like the blow holes will be a godsend when you get a dust blob.. which you will get. They both use exactly the same panels so their performance will be very similar. The Z4 is ?200 cheaper and now it comes with a free lamp voucher which is worth ?250.
Nex Nix, who I've bought most of my HC stuff from, said they arent even going to bother stocking the TX200 as they had so many problems with the TX100.
so with the arrival of a new pj my Z2 (1280 x 720 LCD pj) is for sale if anyones interestedPM me if you are
