yeah i've spent most of the day (at work!) researching on this... 100" eh? haha, **** buying a bloody plasma.

**edit: 80" screen for me considering the distance i'll be sat at... good enough for me

yeah i worked it all out... thanks though, i can get up to about 100" from where the projector will be sat but will be literally looking left/right to see the whole screen! gonna go with the relatively small (haha!) 80" one. all i need now is the cash to pay for it all. ****.

Just for interest, don't forget that even old projectors you can pick of for a few hundred quid, will still do a great job! The one I borrowed was an ASK c90.

          Only:

          1100 ANSI
          450:1 Contrast
          4:3/Widescreen modus
          1600x1200 Pixelsmax, (1024 native)

Playing at 1280x720 widescreen, on an xbox360, it still rocked, as did watching films.

My point is, that such projectors even with low lamp hours can be found quite cheap. (ABout 300 quid if you are lucky) and should be worth considering for folk who only want to use the beamer "now & then"

I was dead impressed. It is REALLY hard to take a picture of it though.

Just another viewpoint for those on a tighter budget.

Grado HF-1 and Sennheiser HD650? Nice

How would you compare them, is it worth owning both?

                        Righty then! Heres my setup!

First pic is my MD/MCD/32x combo, just cos it looks lovely! Also has a selection of DVDs, CD's and Manga there.

Second is the top shelf with my PS1 and Saturn games, with a couple of other randoms chucked in.

Top shelf holds GC, PSP, Megadrive, shenmues and my Sonic Collection on the left hand hide (a few are lent out at the mo!)

Then theres my TV. Note the space next to the cable box for a 360! On the unit next to it we have a Platinum GC, N64, Saturn, DC and space for a PS1 that I need to buy.

Meh? The first one is, but the second is lovely, apart from a tiny scuff on the bottom on the side only.

Both excellent headphones. I have quite a stash of headphones - but those are the main two that I am listening to the most right now. Grado's are much more forward sounding and far more sutied to music like rock. The Senn's are a much better general purpose headphone imo, but accel at Classical music due to their more relaxed sounding nature. I would say the Senn's are more analogue sounding and layed back than the Grado's. The Senn's are very enjoyable to listen to all types of music, as are the Grado's, but they both have a very different sound, and both have their specialties . I also have the Grado SR352i's but prefer the HF-1's more rounded sound.

That is the Meier Audio Corda ARIA (http://www.meier-audio.de/). It contains a built in DAC if you have a bad soundcard like an Audigy 2 (great for gaming sure, but for music, you want something more like an e-mu 1212m soundcard). It has got a lot of praise from the headphone community (see www.head-fi.org).

That is an Oray projection screen. I can't remember the exact model number but it retails for approximately ?1k.
