As I now have a MUCH better setup I'll post some photo's

This was my old crappy setup:

Just got my new TV Today (and thats my dog Poppy):

OK here is my new TV & DVD Recorder (which I got last week)

      They are a Samsung LE26R7 and a Sony RDR-HXD860 (160HDD DVD Recorder).

I know it needs setting up better but a quick play of GT4 was good:

I'm posting the next image as you never see the remotes normally so I'm posting mine, I quite pleased that as the TV and DVD-R both have freeview I now only need 2 remotes not 4 any more

and here is about a third of my DVD's, its most of my anime and most of my Asian Films

Console wise I dont have any next gen stuff yet, but I have a Master System II, Megadrive, PSX, PS2, Saturn, Dreamcast and a Xbox.

The main few games I'm looking forward to playing are R-Type (Master System), Bushido Blade (PSX), Tenchu (PSX) and Halo or Halo 2.

That is some collection, how much do you think you've plowed into that, money wise?

Including the other DVD's something along the lines of £8000 .

I started buying about 6 months after dvd players came out for less than a grand when I bought one.

I've got over 200 Anime DVD's alot of which are imports so I could of spent ALOT more getting them here (if they were out here that is). When I buy anime and its a TV series I like to get the hole lot in one go so I can watch it from start to finish, some times in one sitting.

One thing I will add is that some of those Anime DVD single cases actually hold 3 discs, so there is actually more there than it looks as 1 case that has 3 discs can hold up to 26 eps which could give a running time of around 11 hours. The GTO boxset (Great Teacher Onizuka) has 5 discs and has all 44 eps, so you can imagine the runnig time on that one.

Finally chose a new TV, got it this weekend and got it mounted. Still need to build the custom shelving unit below (as I'm using my old TV stand at the moment) and I've got a lot of wire management to do as well.

Its a Panasonic 42PX60 using an XUT3760 tilting bracket, and thus far I'm extremely pleased with it. Very strong with SD material and equally capable with HD thus far. Cautiously letting that 200-300 hour burn-in period occur before I do any major gaming sessions though.

I'll get some proper images up later on in the week.

That neon glow behind the TV, is it an integrated feature similar to Philip's ambilight or is it something you set up yourself?

It's not integrated - bought some LED strips from Ikea and fixed them behind the telly. More info

Very cool I'd like to do something similar to that.

Cool. I'm gonna get some; partly because it looks pretty nifty, but also to hopefully reduce eye-strain.

Nice and simple. The consoles I have out currently are in the corner and on the floor next to the drawer.

Saturn/PSone games are in this cupboard (which seemingly extends back for miles). SNES/N64 games are in a cupboard out of shot. Current gen games are on the right unit, with 360 games in the drawers underneath.
