At least, you can start from 3.30 OE-A

      3.30 OE-A -> 3.52 M33 -> 3.52 M33-3 -> 3.80 M33

      Have fun

      EDIT

Or get a Pandora, and avoid all this crap

Tempted not to bother at all.

3.30 OE-A does everything that I want my PSP to do anyway.

Is it easy to go from 3.30 OE-A to 3.52 M33?

Is there a way to downgrade from official 3.80 to ... well, anything really?

Using a Pandora Battery you should be able to install any firmware you like, including custom firmwares.

I'll wait a few days, looks like there are some minor bugs, and a problem with some Memory Sticks not recognised (apparently, the MS bug is in the official 3.80 firmware, something about a driver reduced in size)

Theres an update available now for it M33 3.80-2 I think the name is. You just go to Network Update on the PSP and its about 170kb and takes about a minute to update!

The only issue I've found is that the UPMS utility doesn't work under 3.80, so if you've got a Pandora battery with the memory stick you won't be able to play fiddle with it for the time being if you update. The Pandora setup still works if you want to boot into that, of course.

Other than that no problems at all. I updated to 3.80 M33-2 using Network Update which went very quickly and smoothly (I wonder if it'll work when they move to 3.81 M33 or whatever?); all very impressive. That'll come in handy when I install CFW for people and they compulsively use the utility to update to the latest official firmware.

Best of all, Remote Play works again! I tested it out by streaming a DivX video from my computer, to the PS3, to my PSP in the other room. Awesome stuff, and I'll have to try it out with PS1 games at some point.

My Remote Play is back on again too!

The most impressive thing is that you can just auto update via wireless now...

Remote play works with older ones, you've just gota extract it from a higher firmware and insert it into yours. Did it tonight because i don't want to update to 3.8 yet..

But man, remote play is slowwww. Video playback is fine, as is audio, but the actual navigation and starting it up...

Hmmm odd. Wonder if that's a by product of not using a proper 3.80, if you see what I mean? I used it on a proper 3.80 and the navigation was just as quick as if I were on my PS3.

I'm even thinking about picking up a new slim&lite due to the little niggles that are starting to turn up.
Cool, I lied, wifi does work, it just wont connect to my network, remote play is fine

You mean it doesn't do 1.50 stuff out of the box (so to speak)?

Think I'll stick with 3.30 OE-A for now then.
