Those Sharkoons look good for the price. Im new to this, i don't have an amp i was wondering if someone could tell me how do you connect them to a 360 or PS3?

Judging by the first review, it looks as though it has an optical in, so you'd just run straight from the 360/PS3 into that.

The Sharkoons come with a little box that you plug the divices into no amp is needed.

oh right cool, so these just use an optical , can u connect tv through that wat too? possibly wii too? will these give a 5.1 dolby sorround sound feel, obv not as good as a proper setup but would still give a decent sound and experience?

i notice that has a mic, could it possibly be used on 360 voice chat whilst playing, im not too botherd about these for online gaming mostly single player and lots of blue ray and dvds

I've got a set of the Sharkoons and I can confirm that the mic does work with on xbox live. You might want to have a listen to them before you buy them tho'. I'm not that impressed with my set.

Haha.. I would sell them but they were a recent birthday gift from my girlfriend and she would probably disown me if I got rid of them so soon.

EDIT: Acually im just going to go for a pair of Pioneer SE-DIR800CII. I would prefer a pair of wireless ones and they look stunning.

I've just got the Pioneer SE-DIR800CII's.

Absolutely magic. Got them connnected up to my 360 via Optical, Sky HD and DVD via Coaxial from amp, TV, Wii and PS2 via line output from TV.

Totally beleivable surround, no hiss, very little leakage.

Well happy, from ebay £149 plus £28 for import tax and parcelforce handling. Bit disappointing with the charge but at least it was tracked/insured from Japan.

COD4 with these is sweet.

Does it come with an optical cable and what not? Also i have a ps3 and 360, does it allow two optical inputs or will i need to switch between them? not that i don't mind.

I don't have an amp btw.

No worries. The cable on the Sharkoons is roughly 1.5 meters in length too I iirc.
