Amazon are cheapest at the moment unless you use quidco to buy via the microsoft store (15% cashback).

Ebuyer were selling the professional upgrade for 80 pounds this morning; didn't last long. Amazon again is the cheapest at 90 pounds at the moment.

Amazon have taken down the order button (back to 'sign up for update'). According to staples, it doesn't contain media player as well as IE. Hows the media center going to work?

Also, bad Staples for not displaying the price inc. VAT on the page. I'm sure it's required by law for everything other than 'registered businesses only' stores.

See, the quality of Vista HAS generated revenue that would not have existed!

Just trying to read up on that - listing wiki = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows...mparison_chart
Just noticed the home basic version doesnt have mce in it.
I`m gonna go for the cheap as chips version for my netbook, and the pro version for my mce machine.

after the Vista debacle on launch I find it surprising that anybody would go for this on launch.

isn't it better to wait a few month for the main patches and compatibility issues to have been addressed ?

Can't edit my post for some reason but meant to add that even as a beta \ RC it had nowhere near the problems Vista had at launch.

It won't be an issue with Windows 7.
