Just rang them (Evesham) and they are being taken over by another company and advised me not to place any orders for a couple of weeks until it's all sorted otherwise I could face a delay.
      Thanks for the heads up!

No worries. I think the chief exec did a runner with the money, or something lol.

Well I plumped for Mesh last year after a lot of carefull consideration and shopping around and the actual pc has been touch wood very reliable but will never ever recommend or use them ever again. Their customer service is absolutely shocking, every person I have ever spoke to there has been rude, arrogant and unhelpfull. I had to write in and complain to their head office in the end to resolve my issue which took weeks.
So its up to you mate like I say I'm happy with the unit but god help you if anything goes wrong along the way.

Well, i went with cyberpowersystem.co.uk and it was a great experience (as great as it can get) Perfect customer service via both phone and email! Took 7 days (thursday to today) and it arrived the next working day from being shipped at 8:59am despite only selecting normal next working delivery.

Can't wait to get this badboy going, got my games all lined up

Please help! I'm looking to get a desktop [haven't had one since 2001 -- it's been laptops all the way] and the last one I had was from Time, who don't even exist any more.

I'm looking for something with approx. 2Tb hard drive, 4+GB of RAM and a case / MoBo that has the option of extra graphics cards cos I want to eventually work towards a mammoth 3-monitor display setup. Not going to be using it on games, purely as an iTunes / Office / web browsing beast. Don't care about ugliness, weight or size of the case. Any recommendations? I found:

Has anyone used these people before? I like their easily configurable builds. But I stumbled on their site randomly. Can anyone recommend them? Or someone similar? Managed to kit out a fairly lumpy and ugly Asus with my desired spec excluding monitors for £400ish, which seems fair.

                  Thanks for any advice!

Can anyone recommend a decent online retailer that sells pre-built and customisable desktop PC's?

I'm currently looking at the standard Dell website. Only one I know.

I used PC Specialist last year. Great all round service

Cheers for the recommendation Gradius, Managed to build a much better PC for the same price as a Dell one.

Hopefully the customer service will be good if I require them.

I'll let everyone know how I find them. Unfortunately both my motherboard and graphics card are currently out of stock so I think it will be a good few weeks until I get the machine. But what's good is they've e-mailed me both times to say the items are out of stock and that I can always change my order if need be. Fingers crossed there aren't any problems.

Hmm they let you choose a microatx board with that configuration? Be glad it's them who have to assemble it I struggled to get a 5850 to fit on a full sized board. Also, if you get an issue with a large mouse pointer and video crashing (problem with some Gigabyte P55 boards and 5850), You'll need to update the bios.

Other than that, should be a good system.

Thanks for the comment - I'm not that knowledgable about hardware so any input greatly appreciated!

The only other P55 boards they offer are the ASUS P7P55D Pro and the ASUS P7P55D Deluxe, though at higher prices. Would you strongly recommend the first Asus over the Gigabyte? (an extra £45, the Deluxe is another £74 which is too much for me)

I'd email them to question if the card will properly fit on the board and if there'll be cooling issues. They probably build loads of systems specced around that so they'd know if it had problems.

It's only a matter of physical space though (if it's blocking other slots and if the intake fan is up against the back of another component. Everything else about the board is fine. As they're the ones putting the board together, it doesn't matter too much if it's incredibly tricky fitting the board. Don't spend more than you have to.
