I must say Crucial.com are excellent and I have not had a problem with ebuyer or Scan either.

Avoid Dell I dont think they understand what Customer Service is!

Scan haven't been bad. I'll admin they hold orders for no reason sometimes but at least i got my items within a week and everything has worked.

Kustom PCs i'm biased towards because i used to work for them. We always aimed for a first class service because we couldn't compete with the companies with huge financial backing. I think the same is still true today. If you want something, email them and they will do their best to help you.

cpucity were the best i online shop i have dealt with. The order was placed at 4pm and the chip arrived next day at about 11am. Can't ask for more than that.
i always use ocuk never have any problems why you cant get in touch with them is mainly due to staffing issues but i've found them to be excellent when i've had problems just use the webnote and they will reply

excellent forum though for advice and help

scan are ok but dont like them after a few dealings with

kustom pcs are great used a few times, i'm sure there in scotland and i always get my stuff very quick

So who would you recommend on getting a PC for a year interest free credit so I don't have to pay it all at once. Dell fail to offer this option.

                  DON'T USE ARIA!

I had the misfortune to recently and have been appalled by their customer service after recieving a faulty item. I cannot stress how much hassle they've caused me and loss of money into the bargain.

                  STEER WELL CLEAR!

                  Second a recommendation, Komplett.

Thanks for that I'll be adding a Aria review very soon...
I bought my current PC which I've had for about 4 yrs now from an eBay seller, which I later found out was Aria. I found out because after buying the seller changed his username from 'boxing0' to 'ariapc' or summat & even set his pages up like Aria's website.

I paid quite a bit for it at the time only to discover that the graphics card was rattling around in the case because they hadnt attached it with screws. They had to send me the screws to attach it myself! The DVD drive played up pretty quickly too, but Aria just couldnt be bothered.

What's the best place to get a customizable PC?

I see a lot of companies like Mesh and Dell offer customizable parts, but I never seem to find the combination I like, whether they don't have a soundcard, only onboard, or something like that. :-/

Finding a decent PC for a good price is HARD!

                    Comment

Firstly, I use Aria a lot, never had a problem. Easily as good as Dabs, Komplett etc. Had a terrible time with Overclockers tho.

That said, now is a brilliant time to want a new PC, all this great tech is so cheap. I built my own dual core 8800gtx Vista monster for around a grand in Jan... with sensible options, you can get a decent spec'd PC now (minus monitor) for £400.

Case in point: I built a file server for myself last month, everything came in under £250! (from aria) That was case, mobo, memory, HD, PSU, CPU etc.

If you really want a customisable PC, learn to put one together (it's easy) or ask someone who knows. I'm happy to build PCs for people I know, it's a great feeling of accomplishment turning 10 or so little boxes into a functioning PC

This thread will help me alot when i get parts to build a new PC this December. And the prices will hopefully be even cheaper then!

Has anyone ever used Cyber Power System?

They were recommended to me, but I'd prefer more information first.

                          Any comments from anyone?

                          Thanks.

Looking to spend about a grand on a good all rounder for business/ HD films and maybe the odd game or two.

I bought my latest pc from them, and it was built, tested and despatched within a couple of days. They update the status of your order every step of the way, so you know exactly what's going on, and they contact you a few weeks after you've received your pc to see if you're happy with it.

I've had no problems with mine whatsoever, and the service I received was flawless, so I'd definitely recommend them as well

I was looking at getting a laptop from them but there are A LOT of bad reports about them on the internet, seriously. Do a search and you'll find stacks of people having problems with them.
