My hd595s leak really badly but you can wear them all day and forget they're on. the p3s don't leak at all but need a shuffle around every hour or so as they do feel a little tight on the ears. they sound incredible though. I preferred them to the p5s in fact because the leather earpads made my ears too hot in just a few minutes.

Budget wise, somewhere up to ?250 I would think. Also, is there any benefit to using a headphone amp with an iMac ?
Any suggestions, and also anywhere that I can try before I buy to make sure they are comfortable..

Sennheiser HD598
the sennheiser HD558 is also an option and can bought up to hd598 standards by the simplest of mods to the cups:

The addition of the E09k really makes headphones sing, my hd598's have never sounded better than through that. Better than anything from ibasso too.Last edited by PaTaito; 16-11-2013, 21:36.

And then maybe a small amp/DAC too. The Fiio E10 is pretty popular.

Looks like a few to choose from and will definitely be looking into a headphone amp too.
