I had a discussion with a guy on Twitter about NES RGB and how it looks terrible because the developers didn't develop for such a sharp image.

    It was pretty amusing.

I haven't fired up my NES is years & I am amazed by how fantastic it can look with the RGB mod.
Only ever did have it hooked up by RF (was too young to understand there was a difference when I got the NES) so seeing what it can achieve now is a real eye opener

I think they retailed for around ?60 - keep an eye out on the bay - you sometimes can see them for around ?20

Lovely shielded bit of kit too - no interference at all
I shall keep an eye out when I finally get the XRGB up & the consoles out of store.

Its a multiplatform emulator, similar to the old MESS emulator. Looks like it may run finalburn games better than the MAME builds ive tired on Wii which frankly arent up to much, from what ive used anyway.

              Oooh interesting.

Shall do some investigating later...still need to try the Emulation side of things on my Wii anyway

I got mine for ?15 posted years ago. I also have the 5 way passive Bandbridge switch which is really popular in this community.

                  Very nice.

Never used a switcher before but hopefully when everything is permanently setup a switcher would be easier to use.

I don't actually use either of mine, way too bulky. The Bandbridge is nice though, being passive.

You know the NESRGB is the best mod i have ever performed on a console. I remember the first time i fired it up with Punch-out after completing the install and my jaw literally dropped to the flaw. I was amazed at how good it looked. Its an expensive mod to do but its a worthwhile investment if you like NES/Famicom. I know i could sell it on if i wanted and not loose any money on it.

It runs pretty well. I've tried quite a few CPS1 games and most of them worked at full speed. CPS2 is kind of hit and miss, but Progear works brilliantly and thats my most played CPS2 game. Its great for 8/16bit machines. It will play most Neo Geo games except for the higher memory games.

Few more images as i have loads in my photobucket!

Real mixed bag on the framemeister images scrolling through, but happy to assume that's down to photography. Some brilliant pics from both camps though.

I really, really wish I'd gone through with a NESRGB mod now. And showing a Valken shot just made me dribble a bit.
