Haven't ventued online for a few days, been trying to improve but i just play absolute ****e with the xbox pad.

I have noticed that yesasia have the hori arcade pro stick in stock for about ?96, a quality stick but its just the price then the cost of a magicbox. I know a few of you use this stick so would you say its worth the price?

I'd recommend you buy a standard Hori PS2 stick. The SC2 variant is easy to pick up and is much cheaper.

If you still suck with the stick you've wasted far less cash.

Played an absolute blinder set of matches with goeman! My first game with him, his Alex swatted my Oro away! i wasnt happy with that so after the BSOD, i hunted down his gamertag...i wanted revenge!! No one beats up poor old dirty oro!

Wasnt easy, best set of matches ive had all week. Everyone add mr "Ganbare Goemon" to your lists. You will have a right battle on your hands. Great matches mate!

Not if you get the Capcom Fighting Jam stick preordered from yesasia - It's about ?50 there, just like the RAP before it shot up to ?100. Not cheaper than the SC2 stick, obviously, but at around ?20 more you might as well upgrade if you have the cash - you'll regret it later if you didn't, just like I did when I didn't preorder the RAP.

Fuddle - might be around late evening today, bit busy til then. I'm only just learning the bigger combo stuff and the might of the jumping HK. At the moment, Hayate into the QCB+K grab into lots of HP/HK mayhem and then another Haytate seems to be confusing the European Kens quite a lot.

Hugo officially rocks. I only started playing as him online, and he seriously deals the damage. As soon as Gigas Breaker comes out, it's nighty night to the opponent! I've yet to have someone come back and win after a Gigas Breaker. Add to that the amazing reach of his Spinning Piledriver after he gets up, and he's a demon. I suggest playing as him, lots.

Hey Tom Salter, was trying to join your game but the server wouldn't let me. Same thing happened when I tried to play firsty a few nights ago. Think there might be something with my router. Been having a lot of BSOD tonight, does your stat still go down even when sign out of the black screen?

Playing this online earlier was a good barometer for checking how piss poor my skills are on this game, I was consistantly owned on the first couple of matches I played. Thankfully I did manage to find others of roughly the same skill level so the Namco stick hasn't been thrown through the TV just yet.

I hate the way the game has been set up for Live, it's almost identical to Capcom vs SNK 2s setup and is a pain in the arse to find other opponents half the time but when you finally get to play you tend to forget about that.

Playing against human opponents is so much more rewarding than playing the cpu, I felt encoraged to use parrying much more when playing online(think I used parrying more in a few hours of playing on Live than I had the whole time playing the cpu offline on the DC version).
