    Ordered yesterday afternoon, arrived this morning. Sometimes, Gameplay can be bloody ace to buy from. Just a shame they hardly ever offer the best prices.

    As long as I can get control of the TV, I'll be on with this tonight.

      Damn, how long has this been out for?

      One thing that always bugged me about these games, was not being able to see the gun on screen, I hate that..

      Worth going to pick up from the shops?

        Arg. Is anybody else noticing that it's all a bit buggy?

        It loads fine on my Xbox, with or without the headset plugged in, but I can't get it to output any sound through the headset when playing the single player. Go into the pause menu, switch it to Sound - Headset, everything continues to come out of the TV speakers.

        It also seems to have a habit of thinking I've pressed buttons when I haven't. Twice now it's switched my night vision on all by itself.

            Somebody let me know if they're having the same problem with their headset as me - it's still not ****ing working. Every time I die and have to restart the mission I find that it's reset the sound option to speakers, which I suppose might have something to do with it, but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to stop that from happening.

            <edit>

            Ah. Had a trawl around GameFAQs and it seems that the single player modes don't have the RS3 thing of your squad talking through the headset. Which is a bit rubbish and a bit confusing, considering that the options menu makes it sound like it should do that, but at least I know that it's not a problem with my hardware now.

            Still getting the night vision turning itself on randomly, mind. That's already led to me getting shot up a couple of times.

                How do you get your friends list up to send Invites ?

                  something like --> start-->online features-->friends list

                  Its not the most intuitive

                  Im on for a game now if anyone fancies playing

                    I'm going online now with it. Lousy menus - horrifically unintuitive - but impressive engine, looks tricky but could be fun online. See you in a bit.

                      ok I'm taking a short brake now from an ACTION PACKED online session... I really have to learn to temper myself and work together more/better with my team mates... (I was kind of a John Rambo in the beginning). It looks fine and it plays great, the online gameplay is ace ! money well spend ! ok I'm off again !

                        Well I thought I was going out tonight but it seems I'm not... if any of you turn up send me an invite. I've just spent the last 30 minutes playing with what sounded like French people. I can take no more...

                            well i purchased this earlier and had a sit down to play the single player...

                            i have one of randy's buggy versions i think. during the training mission it wouldn't let me do a laser guided airstrike thingy... and it's hardly the smoothest running game considering there's not exactly a whole lot going on. aside from the fact i cannot seem to complete the first level (no ****!!) i found myself sneaking along the mountains and ended up almost right on top of one! noclip cheat indeed. the enemy tanks also seem to be able to shoot through rocks and kill my team mates. speaking of tanks, for some reason it won't let me fire my rocket launcher even when the tank is in plain view, just begging to be ****ed up.

                            i'll stick with this and get online asap but i really am finding it difficult, i find running into firefights gets me killed fairly quick and keeping back and sniping just prolongs the time until i get wiped out. the ai seems a bit thick, the enemies predictably so but your own team is ****ing stupid... i was up front sniping away happily, i told them to stay back as they inevitably stand up when i'm prone and get shot to buggery. so they're a good 40/50ft behind just chilling when an enemy walks up behind them and starts shooting, managing to take out 2 of them before the 3rd one realises there's a gunfight going on! and these are supposedly well trained soldiers?!

                            so yeah, you could say i'm having 'issues' with this game.

                              Crisp, I had *exactly* the same problems with it as you. The airstrike thingy wouldn't work in training. The frame rate in training jerks about like a thirteen year-old boy finding his first abandoned porn mag. I couldn't go without dying in the first mission for more than ten minutes, at most.

                              Then I took it online and played it with Gerry and Gib, and played co-op games for eight hours

                              It's ****ing amazing. King of the hill, just protecting a ruined bunker on a stormy forest mountain. Co-op mission mode. Something where you've got to protect your tank while trying to destroy the other side's. Pegging it around trying to kill a set number of randomly respawning enemies within a time limit. All of it brilliant.

                              Then went back to the single player for half an hour before bed, and found that it suddenly made a whole lot more sense and I could finish the first mission straight off, without any real problems (well, apart from the idiotic AI deciding to make one of my team poke her head in front of me just as I was lining up a rocket).

                              The rocket launcher, btw, takes some time to get used to. You need to be stood (or crouched) still for a few seconds while it gets a bead on whatever it is you're aiming at - you can see that it's doing this when there's a small black cross in the centre of the aiming reticule. Once that's replaced by a red dot, you can fire away. Moving your head also means it needs to refocus on the target. Gerry was having some problems with that last night, running in front of tanks like some mad Scottish Schwarzenegger and trying to rocket them out of existence, only to be met by a hollow click from his launcher and a quick death.

                              I'll be on this again today, for sure. We need to try out some well-populated versus games.
