I had to go out last night, but the co-op I played with Gerry/Randy/Gib was great.
Then I played versus today, and, amazingly, it was ****ing great too. Siege is great fun - two teams, attack/defence, take it in turns to get one player into the base for five seconds. There's also Double Siege which looks super fun.
Anyhow, Siege on the Government District. Two teams of five; creeping through dense urban streets, splitting up - it's one of the few games where it makes more sense to NOT follow the guy in front. And then a burst of gunfire and it's all over.
Most satisfying moment of this morning? Getting a kill with the French M29-equivalent. Two, actually; hidden behind a rocky wall, 100% in cover, notice some enemy fire... black button, wave gun above head, turn on the camera, and brap-brap.
It's really excellent, and making me want to check out the original GR2. I'm having a fair success with the first mission; what's great is that the multiplayer game really does prepare you for singleplayer. Singleplayer is also, I guess, more aimed at people who finished GR2.
Anyhow, I'd love a biggish versus game later; this puts my awful memories of GR1 to shame.
