is there no way to find out where this dude lives ? maybe go online with Halo 2, play with the little ****, be nice to him, ask where he lives..... take a big baseball bat and give him a nice "friendly" visit.

Can folk send messages to my tag explaing the situation and advising him to delete the profile and confirm when it is done or face action from Microsoft or some ****.

Gonna get Yoshi to send one just now through Halo telling him... if it still happening over weekend Gamertag change may be required.

Surely one of us will manage to catch him and get it sorted. Can if we send text or voice messages while he's offline, can he get them? Just means you'll have to not open your messages until it's sorted.

Thats what I meant... send message to my tag and I wont touch them... explain the situation but explain it as if it is serious as **** (which it is) then ask him to reply with a voice message confirming he is going to delete the profile. There aint no way he can use my credit card details so they are safe but its the principle of the cheeky **** and TBH I just think he doesn't have a clue, otherwise why would he send messages and light himself up like this... if dont get it sorted am gonna go through the live support service for this ****ing mess!!

Edit : Being serious this shows a real hole in gamertag security to me, should be some way for them to ban the serial of your old Xbox so he cannot come on even if your account is still dorment on your old machine. They used to ban cheaters through the serials not the gamertags, so surely they can do the same to him.

This is a very serious issue though. Technically you should report it to the police as it is identity fraud. The thing about destroying the xbox account is rubbish AFAIK. Couldn't you reformat the HDD on the xbox before getting rid of it. Bit late now I spose. I use my xbox and 360 online fine on the same GT. Never tried them at the same time though.

In fairness if I was in your shoes I'd be seriously pissed off as well. I'd agree that it's pretty serious to have someone running around with someone else's gamertag. Not only are they using using it in an unauthorised way (which has to be against the sign up T&C somewhere) but they're also defrauding Microsoft of the price of a Gold subscription.

I would have thought for those two reasons alone MS would be taking a serious interest in this.

Glad ive only sold my old xboxs to trustworthy people (u lot) as ive probabaly left an account on at one point, so if u add a friend to your list on 360 it shows on the guys friend list on xbox1 and vice versor? so he could technically keep wiping your friend list?
