My graphics card has died again so god knows when I'll be back on. I do want to help with AFs though but obviously you got to do it when you can.

AF Update - Last night me and Mihki were both able to complete the Beadeaux parts of our AF's, thanks to Bayan and Tobal x
So Mihki now has his 58 and I just need to kill Dark Spark to get my 60.

However.. after that we tried to get my Tavnazian Bell in Eldieme Necropolis (for my 58 AF) we were there for quite a few hours but no drop ; ;

Me and Mihki are gonna see if we can take down Shades in EN together because they are only lvl 45ish and apparently they also drop the Bell. If we have no luck then I'll try to tag along with a Coffer Party or organise another Bell finding sesh.

Just completed my very first BCNM 40 fight against Flayer Franz and his flesh wormy-things. Very easy fight, and I came out of it with Utsusemi: Ni, Spirit torque and a few other nice goodies. Over 400k worth of stuff based on today's (Jeuno) AH prices

Quite amusing really, we had 6 in the group and each of us had an orb. First 4 battles each won, then by the 5th fight, things got ugly. After narrowly avoiding possible death by being pulled into the center of 10+ impossible worms and their master, I escaped relatively easily with a sleepga spell, then it went down-hill. 2 of our rangers fell, then our other blm. The whm went to tractor the dead and died herself. The other ranger got D/Ced and died, and I managed to avoid death completely. Our genius leader then decides because 1 fight failed, that all the accumulated winnings were split 6 ways, so that everyone got something, bearing in mind her treasure chest had a scroll of refresh in it, whereas everyone else came out with at least 300k worth of gear. She actually got quite rude when people started to refuse her.

Long story short tho, I got the big gilz, 2 people got squat and the pt leader got slapped

What is the point in buying characters, so you get a high level character without having atually got it there, I cannot see what fun that could be.

Ces let me know when you want to try for the Garlaige Citadel Banishing Gates and I'll come help. The more people that can cast Sneak / Invis the better!

I don't actually know what you're referring to but I do know that I need to get through those gates... how many of them are you likely to be opening? I may stock up on prism powder/silent oil and tag along.. I need to get to the furnace!

It did contain my quitting message to Rargh etc.

And I will be changing the LS message before end of tonight.

I am not going to quit the game yet but I am going to take the game off my machine, leaving only Playonline on there for account purposes.

I need a break from it before I can decide to stay on or quit, this might last a week or two before I actually make a decision, either way the time away might either make me feel I have had enough on it or bring back some fun which seems to have been lost lately.

The Rargh static should feel free to continue without me, if I do end up staying im sure I can catch you up quickly enough.

Wedge, if you plan on giving bst another go, you should consider joining up with me in SixAxeArmy (Seraph's bst LS) Just finished a major static party run, gained almost 2 levels in the time it would have taken me to both gain and lose a level by soloing ><
For the first time in a long while, it actually didn't feel boring leveling in party situation.

Sorry if advertising another LS to join on the forum is a no-no, but this has really helped me and I can see myself realistically getting to 35 within the next day (hopefully). If you give Lindeus a shout when you're in game, he can hook you up with a pearl, otherwise I'll try and find one for you (if you're interested of course ^^)

^^ I keep changing my mind alot at the moment, I think its a case of letting the game pull me in again or not, so far the game is not installed again but by the end of the evening things might have changed.

You seem to be seeing all my posts before I change my mind ^^.

Daragon that sounds good with the BST LS but I cant be sure yet, I really dont think I can level bst as well as brd and whm sub.

What a horrible experience

Logged on to see a 54 NIN shouting in Jeuno for help with his coffer key in Sea Serpent Grotto, remembering the difficulty I had in convincing people to travel there (until Tobal, Mihki and Mahlory came to my rescue ^_^) I said I would give him a hand, although we would need a healer to keep things moving quickly. By a stroke of good fortune (it seemed at the time) a RDM75 agreed to help (along with a WAR48 and WAR55).

So we head out and whilst everyone follows me to Sea Serpent Grotto he heads in completely his own direction and ends up way off the route I know to get to Norg. I manage to find him and lead him the right way but throughout he is giving it attitude as though it was my fault he decided to randomly run off in an arbitary direction. I let it slide but his attitude just got worse and worse.

The 48 WAR was going to get aggro halfway to coffer mobs but he asked for Sneak which never came so I asked (nicely) on his behalf.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier he needed Sneak?" - O_o

Then we got to the Mythril Beastcoin door, and despite me asking the NIN twice in Jeuno if he had a Mythril Beastcoin, obviously he got there and had no coin. The RDM then chirped in with:

"You said he needed a Silver Coin" - >.< (a quick scan of the log showed I said Mythril). He had never brought a silver coin either so even if I had of said silver, the point was moot.

OK, so we eventually got to killing mobs and he kept moaning about the SC. He kept insisting that our Ninja Magic for Wind was causing the SC to change as he wanted Sturm Wind > Blade: Jin to create Detonation (god knows why) when it actually creates Impaction (which is much better for Sahagins anyway). If you look at the SC chart, SW goes to B:J for both Impaction and Detonation but Impaction takes priority. That wasn't good enough for him though. Our Ninjitsu magic was clearly at fault.

So far I had managed to bite my tongue and we killed Sahagins and Crabs merrily when a passing BST comes by. Obviously the RDM sent a few tells and the BST 'informed' him that crabs don't drop. Obviously I then had my pulling orders:

"Don't pull any more crabs"

This I did, which made pulling a pain in the ass as they aggroed and it was a job to delicately slalom between them to get to Sahagins. Can you see where this is going yet?

An hour and a half passed and I was getting increasingly irriated by what this rude and obnoxious indivudla was saying. I tried to make friendly talk with him, but never backing down on issues I knew to be correct (i.e. what SC is created with SW>B:J) so I thought I'd ask him if he had tried RDM/NIN as I heard it was powerful. His response baffled me:

You have just asked about the 2 things I don't like to talk about. Power and RDM/NIN. Please don't do it"

I completely failed to see what was so wrong by my question and I started to feel that this was more a power game on his part. He was the level 75, and I was the lowly 61, yet to all intenst and purposes I was leading the group. Maybe he didn't like that. I sent a tell to the 54NIN saying that I could not put up with this RDM for any longer. He agreed that he was rude, apologised, and thanked me for at least helping.

I gave it another 25 minutes and the RDM went afk mid-pull. To top it off my furious slaloming between crabs failed and got aggro so took the Sahagin and crab to camp. Myself and the other NIN tanked one each, expertly, and the crab was killed second.

Well, I literally burst out laughing. These crabs that I had been ordered not to pull, was what gave us the key. The other NIN even commented earlier how it would have been funny if a crab was what would eventually drop it.

Of course, I had to make my point.

Childish? - Sure. Did it feel good? - HELL YES!!!!

I said that once I got into full AF I would be more responsive to the shoutsyou hear in Jeuno asking for help. In the last 2 days I have helped with DRK AF2 and a NIN coffer and both have left a sour taste in my mouth. I want to keep helping people but the attitudes of certain high level players is bordering on the offensive. Reminds me of when 66BRD joined us in Maze of Shrakami when I helped Van and Wedge and another individual get keys for RSE in Shakrami. This BRD was insistent we should go to his spot (which would have involved zoning back into Buburimu, Tahrongi then Shakrami. We didn't and all 3 keys dropped from the area I chose. I may not be 'high level' but a lot of the time, I do know what I am doing if I have done it before.

but despite my issues, the incident couldn't totally sour my day. I hit lvl61 before this and finally equipped my awesome looking Kabutowari+1. I am all set for Shadowlord when you are ^_^
