Just to clarify Daragon, the entire post wasn?t tongue in cheek. I am fully serious about not playing for the foreseeable future at least and with my concerns about what has happened in game. My comment directed at you was not meant to be taken seriously. I thought that was obvious but apologies if you were offended.

You also seem to have misinterpreted where my concerns lie in game. Firstly I didn?t state that NIN is no good for farming, I essentially said that there seems to be no place in game for a NIN whose main source of income comes from farming. It seems many other NIN players are willing to pay ever increasing prices for items, so I can only assume they have ways of making gil that bring in higher and/or quicker amounts of gil. My method of farming simply unable to compete it would seem.

Also, I have not given up because of the lack of one piece of equipment. Sure they contributed but the real issue is the ever increasing cost of Ninja Tools. Unlike so called uber items, where you can do your job without them, without tools I simply cannot do my job effectively. No arguing about it. Like a RNG, effectiveness of NIN is fully determined by how much you spend on expendables. That is the greatest contributing factor to my decision.

I know exactly how you feel about the LS people Mahlory and I have been miserable in work today knowing that I?ve cut it out of my life. In fact, those around have picked up that something isn?t quite right, but sadly I have been unable to admit it is because I have ?quit my MMORPG and left a bunch of online friends? as I think the funny looks would be rather disconcerting.

Suggestion time!

I have been playing FFXI and a member of Rargh since the September European launch. I was thinking last night, I have only partied as a LS (3 or more of us) 3 times. Onces in the Dunes with Mihki and Dara, full LS fighting the Windy Dragon for my Mission 2-3 and full LS exping ouside Norg. Total partying time maybe 5 hours (out of just over 24 days playtime)...

There have of course been other times where 2 of us have ended up in a party together or someone has been helping me out but certainly from my point of view (non level 6x static member!) it's not really very much.

I always see regular (and not so regular!) LS members leveling all kind of jobs/levels so would it not be a good idea for people to post here when they want to level there main / sub / mule to allow others at a similar level to team up for LS related fun?

At present I have RDM37, BLM20, SAM10 WAR10. It would definately be cool to get a bit more ingame interaction with fellow LS members...

Im at work at the moment and all I can think about is getting home to be on ffxi for the best fishing times. Also to check the AH for some equipment that's not been in stock much lately. its amazing that I still look forward to getting on the game this much.

I'll definately be up for this but as always i'll only be able to do it from mid evenings After my non-start on Dem earlier in the week I am ready to go equipment/food wise as RDM/BLM. Looking forward to seeing it some more after a couple of minutes in the Zone on Wednesday. Would prefer not Saturday night as I plan to try for my second piece of RSE but if it is Saturday then I will come!

It certainly looks like we should be able to do some LS exp'ing Maybe we can organise something for one evening next week? At the moment I would be happy to level either BLM or SAM (as well as RDM!). I don't know all the good exp'ing locations but it would be cool if we could level away from the norm (Dunes, Qufim, Jungle etc) where possible - a bit of variety and all...

So, anyone a preference to level / location / night?

We seem to have the best range for the level 20ish jobs.. although I was trying to keep my summoner matched in level with my r/l friend, he is just too slow! (gahhh, 2 months at level 20...).

Summoner is also the job I hoped to use for Promyvion, but if it happens before I can level it then I would be happy to go as BLM (if I was wanted).

So for levelling.... SMN, level 20s would probably be my preference, as it seems there aren't as many jobs around 40ish amongst us.

I don't know about alternative locations, has anyone ever xp partied in Pashhow?

Actually checking again it seems maybe level 10 is more suited to getting everyone involved..

Oooh, good stuff! I've only got two jobs I want to level atm: WHM 10 (target 12) and RDM10 (target 25) - the reason I want WHM 12 is to use as a possible sub for RDM levelling, if, however, we get a LS-party together around that level I can prolly sub BLM, which is already sufficiently levelled.

EDIT: That's a party I think - Darwock WHM, Wedge BLM, me RDM, Talizker WAR, Tobal DRG - discuss further on LS ^^

Kampfset for Body, Legs, Feet and Head
RSE gloves
Mercenary's Earring (I've got an Energy Earring (mp+3) for the other if need be)
Wolf Mantle +1
Warriors's Belt+1
So I need...
Sword/Shield (If you have these, great, if not, I'll buy my own)
(I won't be using ranged weapons, so equipping Happy Egg there)
Neckpiece (Holy Phial)
Rings (double VIT+2's)

Also, and I'm aware of how weak this will sound compared to something like Promyvion, I realised last night that some LS members, myself included, have yet to do all three Eco Warrior quests. As far as I'm aware, the following is true:

-I need to do the Windurst one (none activated at present),
-Wedge needs to do the Bastok one,
-Mihki needs to do the San d'Oria one.

So, would anyone be up for trying to do these quests at some point? If nothing else, you'd get 5k for each completed quest.

I haven't actually done any of them yet! Got the Bastok one activated but never been in a position to do it so would definately be up for these as well

Ooh, I need to do San D'Oria - but also they can be repeated so I'm up for helping with any.. that's one quest I know for a fact is well suited to my summoner

I reckon my friend would be up for that as well, he's a 20 thief/war.
