How does this usually work with items that people want to keep rather than sell - the Phalanx Scroll that I want is worth 350k and Buzzard Tuck Sword is 60k...

Talizker, unfortunately this is where it gets tricky.

In all fairness it is probably better to just let everyone come out of it with the same result. Everyone is going to be donating the same amount of time, effort and Beastman Seals. Whilst I do appreciate it will be mighty tempting for you should a Phalanx scroll drop it shouldn?t detract from the fact that it is a group exercise, and if people are seeing it as a gilmaking exercise then it is only fair that everyone comes out with the same amount of gil.

Remember that with a good run we should each be pulling in a good amount of gil. It may not cover the full cost of Phalanx but it will put you a good deal of the way towards it.

I just want to avoid a situation where people feel hard done by in their rewards. Daragon got invited by strangers to a BCNM. The organiser stated that the loot distribution would be set that the orb holder of that battle gets all the rewards to themselves. Daragon came out with a nice amount of gil from it but others came out with little or nothing (imagine if you?re run failed to even win?)

That?s why simply selling everything then splitting the gil is the most straightforward way.

However if people want to distribute the loot another way, say so.

No problems - thats fair enough. Never done this before so just wondered what the norm was...

*Update* Actually knowing this is a good thing. I'm off to buy my Buzzard Tuck tonight Pitty I don't have (anyway near!) 350k for Phalanx...

Personally speaking I'm cool with either way - the method Daragon went through is fine as long as we are each prepared to accept bad luck if thing's should go horribly wrong when it's your turn to use the orb.

Of course then there's the possible situation of a Phalanx scroll dropping on someone else's attempt. It would seem very cruel to keep it. So do you swap all the booty from that effort with the one from talizker's orb?

Hmm, yeah it is complicated isn't it!

I would only do bcnm when everything is evenly shared between us. It just doesn't work well any other way.

                    OK, that's cool.

Where does that leave auction fees etc? Jeuno fees are not insignificant in the first place, but somethign worth 350K is surely going to sting whoever puts it up for sale?

Only got three pics from the Promyvion-Dem mission, but here they are:

                      Erm...

Yeah, I screwed up the photo but there was a Quadav hitting me OK???

Satheal's impromptu street theatre performance (or 'emergent gameplay' as Mihki put it)

Here's a couple I took of what looks like a destroyed Jeuno.

                        and

The whole place, imo, was creepy.

It was a fun experience though, dispite getting killed at the end. Still there's plenty of time to try again.

Just want to say thanks to Wedgemoon and Talizker for sticking with us on the attempted gate breach in Garlaige citadel.. not even having logged the quest that was quite selfless of you both to stay as long as you did through the carnage!

Thanks also to Rare for his guidance.

At least we got through gate 3 even if gate 2 was beyond us... final failure entirely due to me - getting too close to a skeleton without noticing I didn't have sneak :-(

I won't be satisfied completing that quest unless I complete it with the same group - the 4 of us definitely need to go back once Wedge has got healthier xp and everyone has the quest logged - you can enquire at the orastery in Windurst about that ;-)

p.s. next time I will take medicines for the sneak/invis - that way if I'm in a tight spot I can take care of it myself, and also without risking aggro on magic use. I believe it will probably last longer than my puny enhancing skills as well.

There is looking to be a re-attempt at Promyvion-Dem scheduled for tonight - just posting this as three of the important members may not have been made aware: Daragon, Vanicent and Talizker. I pointed out that 24 finishes at 10 before I logged off this afternoon ;-)

Good day for me... this morning I started running to Selbina to trade my clay tablet, but got a call back to the Citadel - some guy had fallen asleep in real life and left his character in danger, lol. They wanted me to escape him. I asked for 500g to cover a teleport but got given 2000

Then after heading back to Windy I went into Horutotu to open the sealed portal for Hicory, after which I headed out to Shakrhami as it was Hume week for RSE. Fighting a goblin pathfinder when another gob spawned right beside me, and I died. It make s me smile - if that gob hadn't spawned at that exact time, I wouldn't have gone to Selbina, where there wouldn't have been a whm waiting that would teleport me to Mea, so I could run back into the maze at the exact moment that a chest appeared in front of me...!

Woo! Now I can really start reorganising my equipment to something more suitable for level 40.
