Also a bit of information for Darwock regarding the old level cap and the Shadow Lord. According to an interesting thread on Allakhazam I read this morning from someone who played during original JPN release, when the level cap was 50 the Northlands regions were not actually available to explore. They were unlocked in the update that also raised the level cap to 55 meaning the mission wasn't available until the level cap was 55. Hope this helps you.

After 4-5 months since i hit lvl 60, I?ve now made it lvl70 after getting to a party with 5 man static which got me 18kexp so I can afford to die once with a raise1 , and as soon as I got back to jeuno I spent nearly all the gill I had built up on Hachiman Body(545k) and feet(545k) armours, but then after putting them on the O.kotes looked out of place so I brought the Hands(230k) which I use for town and STR macro?s.

Also getting to Sky(totally kickass place) with Wedge and the 2 people we stayed with throughout Zilart mission?s (zm4 for me and zm5 for wedge) so even though they?ll never read this thankyou Payback and Cyren.

Now it?s time to take it easy, I?ll try for one more exp party to get a good buffer and then its on to Maat, Optical Hat and a Rare/ex G.K.

Im going to try and get level 70 this week, also need a testimony for the Maat fight.

This weekend has really been fabulous, up there with the best moments in the game so far.

Enjoying the zilart missions and going to some new areas, fighting bosses, its been great.

Now that im nearing the later levels of Bard im starting to t ink about what other job to level, im think it will probably be Dark Knight, so I have a chance to do some damage dealing at higher levels as well as support.

Oh, just thought would anyone be up for another ENM tonight.

Hey guys, long time no chat

Just a quick update really, since leaving Seraph I've come back and joined my brother on Odin (again /sigh). I'm Lv68 THF and going on my first Dynamis run on Wednesday, really can't wait for that! Have just got round to finishing the Promyvions too, leveling RNG to 30 was a good idea, and just really starting to discover the rest of CoP expansion pack. Been messing around in Phomiuna Aquaducts and stuff, it's pretty cool and liking it lots. I'll be taking on Maat too when I hit 70, I want to build up on steal+ gear and if that fails just whip his ass using x-potions, icarus wings etc, I really wanna beat him first try so wish me luck and hope yours goes well Wedge.

Similar to quivers, players will soon be able to bundle multiple stacks of 99 ninja tools as one item. The player can accumulate 12 stacks of 99 ninja tools in one item slot. In short, players will be able to carry twelve times more ninja tools in each slot than before!

No longer will I be restricted to how many tools I carry and enter EXP PTs with 2 spare slots.

Plans are coming on well for me at the moment. Hopefully when the last of my farmed stuff sells my gil total will be back to just under 1 million. When you consider that last Tuesday I bought my Scorpion Harness (practically bankrupting myself in the process) and I also paid back Bayan 360k since then, I have made a nice sum of gil this last week. My aim is 2.5m to buy a Sairen (providing the price doesn?t go up). These don?t show up on the AH often so I?ll probably keep farming beyond my total until I get one.

Obtaining Sairen allows me to sell my Kabutowari+1 (little reason to keep it apart from aesthetic reasons as it looks cool) which should net me 800k which I plan to sink into crafting, finish getting Woodworking to 60 (currently at 42) and get Alchemy to 60 too (currently at 0 >.<) to allow me to synth a good portion of my own Ninja Tools. Apparently if I am wise with Alchemy I can level it and make a profit which would be great. What I?ll probably do is skill up on Ninja Tools where possible and just ?quiver? them up as they won?t be taking up lots of inventory space and have loads available for when I get to EXPing.

In between all of this I want to get the Promyvions done (Vanicent and Apathye both need them too) and get access to Tavnazia and get that Rare/EX katana off that bastard Tonberry in Temple of Uggalepih.

Ah yesterday? Started fine, when to the Grotto got Wedge his Testy after smacking up a fair few mobs, then came mine? ended up a bit of farce in the end and certainly harder than expected, 1st problem was finding a ?Blood Demon? that as all the guides and messages from players on the many FFxi board say is ?At the bottom? now that ?at the bottom? turned out to be not very actuate? I manage find them but that was after invis going at the wrong time and those Big Eye Demon?s(I?m very sure the tougher ones agro to sound as well as I had invis up when i ran past one) which are not soloable ><, I think what killed us was splitting up across 2 floor?s, but on the upside I apa found a Coffer Chest and opened it, and I found out where the blood demon actually is, and I manage to warp out in time with 41hp and poison ticking away to luckly, a HP just outside the MH which resulted in frantic talk to npc to open it up.

Im gonna try again tonight this time with shout outs to other sam?s/smn needed there testy.

I will join you Tobal, I cant believe how much harder the samurai testimony is to get.

I mean both places are hard, the castle oztroja is near a true sight HNM and the Baileys is just real tough to get to.

Just don't rush into you're Maat fight, take time to prepare and try hard to win first try.

I have put up my Maat strategy on my LJ just to try and think over it as much as possible.

I don't want to have to get another testimony.

Had a spot of bother getting on at lunchtime but after the 2nd shutdown I managed to get on. Coupled with the AH problems a few nights ago I think the 3rd party attacks are back.

I've been in two parties recently, and I've noticed (or been informed) that we have a powerleveller after a few fights, and I don't like them as it feels like I'm getting exp by doing nothing.

The first party split after a couple more fights (this was when I went mental, and got THF from level 12 to level 17 in less than 8 hours), and I then logged off, so that one wasn't a problem.

Tonight, however, I didn't have that option. So, after three fights, and a chat with Rare, I got 'disconnected' from the game, and left the party. I logged back in about ten minutes later to find I'd been replaced, so I got out of that one too.

I think, from now on, I'll add something like "Power leveller, {no thanks}" to my exp party search comment, and see what happens.


But all of this has made me wonder: what do the players on this forum think of powerlevellers?
