One thing - Is being an Elvaan White Mage a good idea? Should I switch class, or should I go even further and switch to a human or tarutaru? I'm doing okay right now, but I don't want to be frustrated 100 hours in.

Okay, I've changed again, and this time it's final. I'm a Human Warrior in Bastok. I'm still called Magnakai. I picked human so that if I want to change class, it's not a big deal. Warrior's pretty easy to do the early levels with anyway.

Wow, last night was a good time for BCNM.

2 Erase, 2 Phalanx and 1 Utsuemi Ni - used 5 Star Orbs.
I should be getting some nice deliveries to my Mog House soon.

I had some problems with the Giddeus BCNM before but managed to do all 5 last night, its partly positioning that can ruin it, also using Enchanting Etude, Fish Mithkabob and Knights Minne right at the start just before using Lullaby, this brings total CHR to +25 and gives enough defence boost to take the initial damage from the green mandragoras, using this method seemed to work well each time.

Im not actually sure if a Mary's horn will be better than the San d'orian horn which has +3 CHR whereas the Mary's horn is +1 Lullaby.

Anyways, with the money I get from this I should be able to set myself up with my lvl 50 bard and lvl 25 whm equipment, buy the remaining scrolls I need.

Also im on 32 Beastmen Seals so soon can do another BCNM if anyones interested.

Does anyone else have enough Beastmen Seals with a lvl 40+ Job.

I would come, but not enough seals. I dunno why... I never had more than 100 seals, yet people like tox and you with 200+ makes me confused. I wanna know where to go to farm them or something .

I've been finding quite a lot on random monsters even at my low level... There's probably a good place to get them from, though.

Unfortunately Beastman Seals only drop off monsters that are strong enough to provide you with experience (when the difference in level between your current job and the monster reaches a certain size, the monster will check as Too Weak To Be Worthwhile and even if you defeat it you will receive no experience points).

Also, once you reach between the level 25-30 mark (depending on job and not considering the Beastmaster job which is sort of an anomoly) the ability to 'solo' (i.e. defeat without any help) monsters (even those which check as Easy Prey) becomes increasing difficult to do with any consistency and safety. Aside from BST mentioned above the only jobs that are able to do so with any real safety and consistency is (I believe) Red Mage and Ninja but even then it can be a slow process.

This is why acquiring Beastman Seals on high level jobs can be difficult. In most cases, they are only going to drop during EXP parties and then you only have a 1 in 6 chance of obtaining the item anyway. hold onto as many of the Seals you get at low level.

Indeed, beastmen seals are hardly farmable. One option is to level all jobs to level 6 or 7, besides giving you a massive stack of beastmen seals you'll also get a ton of Crystals and a bunch of conquest points.

75k in cash at the moment. Got a sword and a club on sale which should net me another 20k when they sell. Combine that with another 14k i'll farm tonight from sheep wool, and I'll be set up to level 39.

Well European players are lucky, they will get the chains of promathia included in the September release.

As long as Gamestop are fast with delivering my US copy I dont mind though, its already pre-ordered.

I have been thinking, I really think Static party is the way to go at higher lvl, I often ask people to party and get the responce that they only party in a static group.

I am aiming for lvl 50 and then im willing to stop and let anyone catch up if they wanna do a static party. In the meantime I will lvl BLM and do some crafting camping NM's etc.
