It was just so unexpected. One minute we?re valiantly slogging away at some Ant creature, I hit my Provoke macro and next thing I know I?ve got a black screen with ?Downloading Data? then I?m standing in the middle of the desert.

Had to laugh really otherwise I would have cried.

Great thing is though because we did it as a LS, it didn?t actually matter. Do that with a pickup group and I can just imagine the cries of ?OMG, u 1z t3h n00b? and ?ur n0t g3tt1ng a shar3z of my gilz0rz n00b? echoing across the chat channels.

I also need to get Promyvion sorted soon as there are some nice looking ENM battles for level 40 and 50 cap in the Tavnazia areas that have some good drops.

I believe I need to farm animas for Promy so if anyone is interested in helping me with that over the weekend, it would be good.

we can pick them up on the 1st floor fighting easy prey, when doing the ENM

Tobals right the best place to farm for recollection drops is on the first floor of the promyvion zone. Each mob type has a chnce of dropping one type of Recollection so each zone has 2 different types of recollection available on floor 1 as seathers don't appear till floor 2.

The good news is that Dem is by far the best for this as the recollections for both hystero and phsycho animas drop on floor 1. These 2 are the most useful anima by a mile though terro can be useful in an emergency.

If you intend to take on the promyvion and need an extra ranger drop a line to Hyu. He's in a random shell I picked up and is so far 0/9 on Holla, he completed all the others. He's been trying in pick up parties and basically folks keep killing him with agro, he's only made the spire twice. The other 2 he cleared first shot so I think he's a decent player in himself so worth a try if you need.

Anyways as we all know the key to promyvions are organisation and anima, as long as one person leads you're cool.

Well was about to reinstall and re activate my account but can't remember my UN/PW and can't find anything on the playonline website about retreiving UN/PW's so I guess I wont be playing again now heh.

SH fund currently stands at 5.1m with another 140k still to come in. It's strange, market was really slow towards the end of last week so I couldn't sell anything then halfway through the weekend I can't keep my items stocked up on the AH quick enough.

Clearly this is a common trend as the same thing happened the previous week. Something for me to keep in mind.

My original plan was to sell my Winged Boots, Fuma Kyahan, Jujitsu Gi and Shinobi Gi +1 to fund the last 3.5m which I could obviously do now and get a SH with gil to spare. However I have decided to farm a bit longer to negate the need to sell my Winged. The other 3 items I am less concerned about having for now but Winged Boots will rock for Promyvion.

SH is close though for sure.

Well the weekend was mixed bag, no exp parties fri,sat, or sun, went of Zilart 4 mission which luckly I didn?t die on as well had to rely on bcnm part with drk/nin, drk/thf, Sam/thf, Rdm,rdm,Pld needless to as the pld died in 10 seconds after the thf tonberry used everyone?s grudge?. Which left me and the Drk/nin tanking and me preying I wouldn?t get everyone?s grudge as well, I don?t think all the HP in the would could save me from the amount of tonberry I?ve killed. We managed to win even after letting the SMN tonberry whack us with Shiva?. ZM4 complete and nice cut scene to boot. I think the best thing about that mission was we have 6-7 rdms all 65-70 which would left a lot of exp parties with out support players for 2-3 hrs.

On Sunday I set about do the solo bits for ZM5, which resulted me dying to Weapon Bio? but I reached the stone thing I needed to touch before I died. Did a Solo ENM to get 2kexp and won which was good, but still no rare/ex ring drop from 6 wins. Latert hat day exp party search get an invite for 6-1,6-2 from some French and Swedish players, 6-1 we start fighting the NM cactuar, sadly the pld being 3 lvls lower than me can?t keep hate the whm is only curing him?. One 1000 needles later im down to 3hp, for 10?s I ask for cure before another 1000 needles came in, raise later gets me the key item.

6-2, now where joined by Spanish whm, and lvl73 Nin, took an 1/2hr to get everyone together in KRT, when we finall start the fight it turns out the whm from 6-1 who was suppose to do the sneak trick, didn?t activate the quest right so, the 3nm skeles didn?t spawn which for some ungodly reason 3 players with out sneak ran up to the door to see if it worked? and oh boy did it we had to see all 3 skeles which resulted in me and the Monk(doing the most damage) dying half way through. Still a raise later and mission complete. Rank7 getto!

Right, I've installed the US PC version on my laptop so I've got an alternative if I want to watch telly or whatever.. also couldn't resist the lure of the high resolution output over the projector! It really does look superb, and now I've got the PS2 controller configured I'm far more comfortable with it.

Still a couple of niggles though, has anybody else encountered an issue where the transparencies on the status icons and equipment don't work? Blink/Bio look like bogies stuck to the screen, and the lovely blue RSE gear has gone solid grey...

Also the text colours are quite pale, I'd like to get my skill-up messages in the same bright yellow as on PS2, and spells which are greyed out are nowhere near as dark as I'm used to.

I checked the config menus but couldn't find anything obvious.
