Final Fantasy XI Then...

Sowhats the view for tonight, are we likely to try a BCNM run or are we still looking to sort out party memebers. I should be able to make tomorrow night if we're not on for this evening?

Party wise it depends if we are good with BRD | RDM | PLD | THF | SAM + shout for a WHM (or LS BLM healer was mentioned as a possibility?).

I would be good for a 8-9pm start either tonight or tomorrow but it's all down to me being able to get the damn update. Hopefully I can get this sorted when I get home...

I joined in the wait in line to do the bcnm40, took about 3 hours to get to the front of the line, but it was fun and amazing to see everyone co-operating, people were paying upto 300k to swap places in line.

I got my npc now but didn't summon it last night because of the 20 hour timer, im going to summon it to help level my thief.

Not a bad night, I've farmed for a few hours, bringing my gil total to 540k, with at least another 20k on the way, since I helped someone with a mission.

A level 10 WAR asked me to show her the way to Dangruf Wadi, and since she asked so politely, "Would you be so kind as to show me the way?", I did so.

Once there, I escorted her to the point she needed to be, and then back to the exit. After she had left, I decided to try and start evening the score I had with the Geyser Lizard, so far it was 3-0 to it.

Anyway, I got to one of the spawn points, and it wasn't there, so I went to the other one, and saw it walking around the pool. I attacked it, and started a slugging match, one that the Lizard had a slight advantage with. This advantage was a couple more points of damage to me than I was doing to it. I started to think it was about to be 4-0, when I noticed a TP of 134%, I quickly activated Berserk, and then attacked with Sturmwind, which finished it off.

Score: 3-1, so I was catching up.

Even better, it dropped the Steam Scale Mail, so I can sell that on the Jeuno AH for another 20k when I'm there.

I might go for a change of pace next time, and do a little crafting. This requires a trip to Carpenter's Landing, for Lightning Clusters, and this is somewhere I've not been to yet. Should be fun .

Speaking to a few guys on the LS last night it seems that we will be do one or more BCNM40's tonight. Details can be worked out later but it will be one/both of Steamed Sprouts and The Worms Turn. Good news is we have a LS WHM (Y.....? can't remeber his name - sorry!). As usual, Gil will be split equally from selling all the good stuff!!!

I think I started the fellowship quest last night, there was a crowd of people around an NPC in Jeuno so I wanted to see what was going on. Silly me didn't realise the name you pick from the list is obviously going to determine the race/gender of your NPC ><

I thought I was going to have to find them somewhere so I went for the one I figured would be easiest to spot, a Galka with a distinctive name. Once I clocked what it was about I couldn't find any way of changing it. Dagnabbit. I don't want a Galka, lol!

Summerfest aka 'the sunbreeze festival' starts tonight... time to get the Lord's Yukata out of storage and do some goldfish scooping! I really loved last year's event, I had just done the chocobo quest and took my first ever chocobo ride back to Windurst to be greeted by the fireworks in Sarutabaruta... quality!

There is a website you can go to that you pay by Credit card for someone else to do the powering up and mining on your behalf. You can even choose which weapons, how much gold/money or whatever.

They showed it on G4TV where the show paid for services in a game and actually got what they paid for.

Absolutely ridiculous, paying someone else to play it for you!!!? WHAT IS THE POINT? I guess this is what happens when you take the attitude of getting other people to do all the difficult quests/fights for you (just to claim the rewards yourself) to it's extremes.... really the only reason I can think why people might do this is if they only play to show off their expensive gear - I don't understand it at all.

Just for your info - the worms frequently cast stonega, although this is maybe only with the ranger heavy set-up where everyone is standing at a distance.

Dude I heard you can repeat the fellowship quest series once you've obtained the Signal Pearl, by trading the pearl back to the Mithra in Upper Jeuno and choose your NPC again I still haven't got my NPC Hume yet I'm halfway done with it but I want to change it already lol

For reliable rangerws I'd say Toxicforce and Bayan has RNG as well I think. We seem still a bit sketchy on the set up right now. Are we sure we're really set for these as yet?

I should be on tonight but I can't gaurantee it right now, things are a bit screwed right now here. Have to see how things are later on, various possibilities are on offer.

Yeah, from what I believe of Worm?s Turn, Stonega 2 would completely rip me apart. However, I?m not interested in being shoehorned into a BCNM setup just so that everyone is included. I?d rather the best people for the job be included to get the best result.

On reflection, I actually sold my Fuma Kyahan and Jujitsu Gi to fund my Scorpion Harness so I don?t really have gear appropriate for BCNM40 anyway so I think I?d prefer to sit this out anyway.

If that is the case I would prefer the Steaming Sprouts as I know it, however I don't mind tanking for both even though I may only use and orb in one. I don't expect to be payed or anything for the one I mooch along to help with, if it turns out to be one I like hell I may even use an orb as well I'm just very aware I only have 90 left in my mog so I'd prefer to spend them on a BCNM I know and have won in.

Having said that I still want to go after my mannequin parts as well so maybe I need a 40 and 2 BCNM 30s on your orb your drop.

I will be needing an Eldieme Coffer Key in the near future if anyone else has this requirement and fancies organising a visit! Also need to kill Dark Spark in Castle Zvhal which I believe needs to be done for several AF quests so again if you need this give me a shout...

Oh, and I also need to do Mission 5-1 and Genkai 2 ^^
