That extra retainer will be handy, I wonder if it'll have 100 inv slots, if it does then that will sort my storage issues.

Bumped into an NM already, its absoultely enourmous, Giant Buffalo, so far I know it agros and kills me with one hit.

Xmas event is now going too.

before they spend time updating inside the game they really should update the pathetic patcher app, just as bad as classic POL, (as i angrily wait for it to download the latest update)

Just open the file in uTorrent. It downloads to My Games > Final Fantasy XIV > downloads > 48eca647 > metainfo. Make sure you close the official downloader when you do it. The P2P system is a hundred thousand times better than the XI PoL one, even doing it the "proper" way.

is there anyway to change its download folder away from "my games"? my document drive is running low on space these days

It only stores settings for the updater, once the files are finished with they're cleaned up. I think the entire folder is only about 1MB.

If anyone wants the xmas event items let me know, I have loads of them now.

I've been playing this alot lately, am now R30 Archer, R19 Carpenter, R14 Weaver, R11 Fisherman, its just clicking with me at the moment and i'm having probably the most fun i've had in the game so far.

Downloading the update now, will check out the retainer improvements in a bit.

Ok, checked out the retainer search and its excellent, gives you a full list of everything for sale in a ward and how many available, then shows you exactly who has it.

I played this till 5am this morning and from 1pm - 3:30pm today. For a game that I had initially declared as 'meh' I had a cracking time!

I'm feeling a little XI'ed out at the moment so this is making a great distraction

Is anyone from NTSC still playing this regularly though? Is it still the Rargh LS?

I'm only physical level 15 and rank 13 Marauder - so I could really use some help if anyone is around. Getting low level gear seems to be a nightmare for some reason?!

The LS has recently changed, you'll need a new pearl, while its not really an NTSC specific pearl anymore its where most of us that do play it are resided, Gren kind of took the lead on managing it and has built up a fairly nice LS, about 45 people on there so its usually quite lively, i'll be on a bit as there is a New Years event with some new gear to get.
