Yes, it's just one of those promotion tapes taht they played in Japanese game shops. This one was brand new until I opened it before. At the end of the tape it shows some clips from Sonic 3, F1 Heavy what ever on the Mega CD and something else.

My ?13 Saturn!! Even has a cute little sticker on it to tell me how to set the switches for each region.

Over the weekend also got Fatal Fury Special AES, Jojos and SFIII Double Impact on the DC. All slices of quality beat 'em up action.

I don't mean any disrespect towards your new PAL Saturn seany1979 but they do look very cheap and nasty. I have a Hi-Saturn which is also black but they look more "expensive" than the US or PAL ones. Wonder why they went for such ****ty looking plastic?

I would say they are grey. They're certainly not proper black anyway.
I've always felt the 2nd-gen Saturns with the round buttons feel more cheap than the original models irrespective of colour.

Hey - it may look cheap and nasty, but it still does what I want it to do - play Saturn games. Now come on lads - put them away.

Looking forward to seeing just how good those 2D fighters are on the Saturn.

What about this for a sickener though - the old girl who was flogging the console said: "You should have been up here last week - I had a load of other games but some bloke bought them all".

When I first tried it out, I checked the memory cart out, and there were save games on there of something starting with "PanzerD", Elevator Action Returns, Burning Rangers and Last Bronx. Shame I missed out on those really.

harsh as....Burnign rangers is a very solid game...but Elevator Action Returns is pure class (jp only). PanzerD..well I'm guessing that Panzer Dragoon (1)..all 3 are must haves and number among the sexiest classiest offerings on the saturn (saga is still the nuts)

I've managed to build up a Saturn collection over the last few weeks. Nothing too spectacular I'm afraid... Mostly from ebay with a few items from here.

The actual Saturn with three games (VF2, Manx TT and Sega Rally and RF lead and mains lead plus 2 controllers one a PS1/Saturn third party one) managed not to arrive. I gave it a couple of weeks and contacted the seller. It arrived 2 days later with 4 boxed games (Wipeout being the fourth and I found Die Hard Trilogy in the machine itself. I queried this and they included them as I was so patient as it was their fault it had not been sent). Didn't think it was too bad for ?21.99 including postage.

I have a few other games:

Quake
Duke Nukem 3D
Daytona USA
Command and Conquer
3 game compilation of Afterburner 2, Space Harrier and Outrun

I bought an RGB scart and an Action Replay clone.

Bought a new multitap (having missed one on Ebay). I now need some more controllers for Deathtank!!

Patiently awaiting Nights into Dreams.

I'm also thinking of trading in my Grey JP saturn (type 1) for something more special.. I like those Skeleton thingies and the regular Hi-Saturn is pretty decent too. They usually go for like, $150 or so..?

But I reckon that is without Karaoke set..

There usually a seller on ebay antiquaire_2cv i believe who often has a boxed Hi-Sat for $100. Don't need the Karaoke unit really.

I was going to 'inherit' my friend's Saturn and pile of games, but I discovered that he's kust gone ahead and dumped the lot at the local tip...

I don't understand people that can just throw perfectly good stuff away. If you're not going to give it to a mate you could at least give it to Oxfam... the games at least (if they don't take electrical goods).
