Ah, this one is called Taiheiyo No Arashi 2 by Imagineer. The World Advanced Daisenryaku Sakusen series are by System Satcom / Sega. This version of Taiheiyo No Arashi 2 I have also come with a card slip case but I never added that to the picture because mine is a right mess Still at least the insides are mint.

I recently bought Grim Fandango off eBay. I suppose that's retro, right? I mean, the specs still mention 2D graphics cards (within the 2mb region)... so it must be retro, surely! XD

Yup retro & a reminder of a golden time when lucasarts meant quality games. Nowdays all they make is **** starwars games, the originallity has long died at that place.

            sad times indeed.

You know, I think it's because it's quite hard to replace someone like Tim Schafer. I get the feeling that ever since he left and founded Double Fine, Lucas Arts has been falling further and further into a rut. I mean, most of the Lucas Arts games that I fondly remember are either largely written by, or directed by, him. Man's a genius.

Few random bits arrived in a box today. Wasn't expecting the poke mini carts to be so small.

What is the one-chip msx thing you have there. Don't really know much about the msx in general. Looks interesting though. Are you opening it or is it just to collect?

I didn't know Darkseed came out on the Saturn. I always wanted to play the Amiga version but my mum would't let me have it

Agree on the fps == shooters thing, that really bugs me too. Noticed mainstream press occasionally referring to fps games as shoot em ups too, I blame the film of the same name.
I read the latest few posts of this thread, this afternoon, then I did my research presentation (some of you may remember the questionnaire I posted a few weeks ago.. well I wrote a research paper based on the responses and as part of the assignment I had to make a 5 minute presentation to do today)

Anyway, someone in the class did their research on "games addiction" and he kept referring to FPS as "Shoot Em Ups"

Something only fairly recently released I think..

It's as the name suggests.. an MSX computer, effectively on the "one chip"... so obviously a tiny little system..

                        __

I'm very interested as to whether it outputs RGB, and via what type of connection, also if there are any pinouts for RGB in the manual, that is if you open it sir Kaladron!

Few details on the connections over at wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1chipMSX

I've got a pre-order in for the EU version when released, I posted a thread about it a few month ago http://ntsc-uk.domino.org/showthread...&highlight=msx

Kaladron if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it.

I payed about ?100 for it, brand new, from a store called Trader in Akiba.

Will post a few more photos as soon as I get a chance. It's a lovely bit of kit.

Dark Seed II is also on the Saturn, however that's dubbed in to Japanese. Dark Seed 1 is still in English, well the voices are but the text is all in Japanese. You should really check out my site. I have about 950 Saturn titles on there with full box scans, information and comments. The URL is www.segagagadomain.com

You got a good deal there, I think their going to cost around that or a bit more if the western release ever happens anyway, can't wait for the pics
