Don Doko Don and World Court Tennis for the PC Engine. Don 2 for the Famicom is on the way, those are just the auction photos but as I'm showing the original game I might as well include it

My AV Famicom arrived today. I've never seen one before, I didn't know how small and narrow the console is - even something like the SFC Jr takes up more room.

Now I just need a few action games to try it out with

A rather productive week this week, because I have a 32X! Long overdue for a long Sega fan like me.
I had Doom already for the machine (you ever notice how even the smallest 2nd hand game shops such as GameScene have about 10 copies of that game?!), and the machine came with Virtua Racing Deluxe, Toughman Contest and..er... 36 Holes Golf Magazine =/
Rushed up to the local 2nd hand games store to see if they had any games, only one there I lacked is Space Harrier, so I got that too!

Toughman Contest is a funny one... it's an EA Sports game with EA Sports logo's all over it... but on the title screen, it says 'Developed by Visual Concepts'! Lol how the tables turned...

I am tres pleased with it. It has given me joy.

In fact I'm caressing it now.

There'd been this lone near-mint Zwei sitting in my local gamestation for ages. Even though I already own two editions of the game, a few days ago I couldn't take it any longer. Months that game has been sat there while people picked up tat. Every time I walked in, I couldn't understand why they'd would pass on such a brilliant game for so long.

In the end I had to pick it up - just the thought of Zwei going to a tat-master or being cast in the black discarded bin we never get to see... had me do it.

                  I'm obsessive.

It does my head in when decent newish retro games get given the cold shoulder for relatively modern retro ****.

Bought a few more goddies yesterday from my mates shop before it closes it's doors for good.

Black Fire - pretty cack game really
Ultraman - looked great on the box plus comes with a RAM cartridge just like King Of Fighters '95 but is it any good ? Well, err no. It's an awful game.
Ultraman Media disc - just info on Ultraman with a few video clips. I read that this is quite rare. More like quite crap.
                        Sega Saturn Internet Volume 1

These next 3 games are quite a rare sight. As far as I know Volume one of EMIT was released on the SFC but contained no saound what so ever. You had to play an audio CD with the game. I have a ROM of it somewhere. Anyway, here is the full set of EMIT for te Sega Saturn. It's just a shame that Volume 2 is missing the spine card.

I just thought that I should tell you what EMIT is. It's an English education software. It plays like a japanese adventure game but in English. You can then use various options to check your understanding of the grammer and so on. It's possible to play the game in English or Japanese plus it's spoken too. I still haven't had chance to play these Saturn versions but once I have I'll be sticking them on my site.

I played EMIT in years ago...
it's TIME spelled backwards since time flows backwards for the character from future... you meet him and as the game progress you will meet younger version of that character...

for an education title the story is pretty mind bending...

                                now now...
that's back bone of the story but the whole story is much more twisted than that... by the time you are finished vol. 2 you will be like "what the...?" and by the time vol. 3 is over you will be "what the hell...?"
