    Nice haul, Yakumo!

Thing is, RSG is 'rare' because people always want to play it, and therefore demand is always high. The same can't be said for Courier Crisis.

yeah, that's true and especially true for use game mad westerns but in Japan they're equal for some crazy reason. The Japanese seem to enjoy collecting crap, hahaha. I also think production numbers are quite low for Courier Crisis so it's very hard to find while you can see RSG in any good big game shop.

I remember - in the days before the net took hold - going down to the Rathbone CEX in London and seeing 8 copies of RSG on the shelf at ?60 a pop. Like you say, it's not rare really - just always in demand!

60 pound a pop is cheap by today's prices There's one shop here selling it for a wacky 18'000 yen! They'll never sell it at that price.

Yeah, ?60 was cheap back then too, by CEX's standards! Most of their second hand Saturn and PSX imports started at ?45.

Nice, was after Time Gal/Ninja Hayate a few months back but could never find one with the spine, even the ones without were fairly pricey, how much if you don't mind me asking.

The game was $99.99, and I went for EMS shipping, putting it up to $125. Then customs swooped in and slapped another ?26 on me. So, this escapade did turn out to be a bit on the pricey side

Basically though, I've bought it for a friend who's a big, big devotee of FMV games (as a fascinating gaming offshoot/dead end). He's had it on Play-Asia's email alert list for a long time, and it turned up a couple of weeks ago. Gotta grab the chances, and luckily I had the spare dollars at the time to secure it.

Ouch! Without the customs though it wouldn't of been too bad, your post just reminded me to take another look on Yahoo auctions and it's on there at about £40 atm, although after you take into consideration it hopefully ending at that price as well as fees and shipping from those proxy bidding sites it'll probably not be much less than you paid, really want this game, shame it's not as common as the Saturn version

As soon as anyone mentions customs, you know it's playasia without being told.

Had a very large parcel arrive yesterday from Japan ..over the £300 pound mark and not one pound on customs ! (phew!)

Anyway here's this mornings pick up ,

Won these two shmups off eBay on sunday and arrived this morning.
Flying Hero and Phalanx for Super Famicom.
Haven't had a chance to play either yet.

Does the spine give you any additional levels?
