Got a sealed PC copy of Virtua Fighter 2 for 10p (down from 29p) in the Toys R Us sale this afty, god knows if it'll work on XP, but for 10p, an absolute must-buy. The rest of the console games in the 'sale' were well-overpriced.
Also, don't know if PS2 qualifies as 'retro' right now, but picked up a small haul of niche PS2 titles off a second hand market for between £1.50-£2.50 - Metal Slug 5, Klonoa 2 (been after this on the cheap for aaages), Fishing Fantasy (a fishing RPG on 505 Gamestreet, plot sounds brilliantly bonkers) and Raging Blades. Mainly chuffed about getting Klonoa 2 for £2.50, though.

I've got Clockwork Knight on pause whilst I have a smoke. It is fantastic. I am developing fonder memories of it now than when I had it on a rental! Its great.
My younger bro says it looks a bit blocky (pixalated) I think it looks great. What a fantastic platformer. 2d at heart but with stuff happening on a back plane too. Enemies jumping out and moving platforms.
Was there a reason they didn't continue this IP?

Been a good while since I posted in here! Anyway, recently picked up a 32x and a couple of games to get me started - NTSC - Tempo, Chaotix and PAL - Virtua Racing, Star Wars Arcade.
Had to make an RGB scart lead for it, and also made a custom Stereo MD1 to 32x link leadBest of all though, the switchless mod that I fitted to my old MD, that also controls the MultiBios in the MegaCD, ALSO controls the video mode of the 32x - it's bloomin' ace, complete region and video mode control on all 3 consoles from the MD reset button
Yeehah

Got a couple of gb games on the cheap.
Been playing through fish dude - it's a great game. Eat small fish, avoid big fish - every 3 stages you get bigger. In the end you're swimming around with scuba divers.
Toxic is like TMNT, i.e. a pretty good side scroller. Control and collision is tight. Glad I bought it. Well worth ?1.50 (inc P&P).
