That B*****ding game has eluded me for about 5 years now.
Always see it european wide but it's than (only) just slightly over budget for me, I will get it one day at the right-ish price.
Nice find though, case looks minty.
Only thing retro I have actually bought myself in past few months was copy of Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance for ?1.98 in GAME of all places to find it.

Yeah same in terms of eluding me. I passed on a cheap copy years ago when I collected PS1. Now I only dabble in PS1 - mostly the early games without the PLAYSTATION banner at the bottom of the insert cover.

Picked up Battletoads for the famicom from the video store on the way home, it was only 100Y, but sadly the Japanese version doesn't seem to have the funky pause music that's in the Western release....?

A very nice rarity turned up in the post today. A Mega CD Sample disc! You don't see these very often in Japan unlike in the UK. This one is for Record of Lodoss War.

Do you mean the Mega CD game? Yeah, it's not that common. the one I bought was factory sealed until I opened it but it didn't come cheap at 3800 yen. then again many of the less common Mega Cd games are expensive these days.

One of the best games ever made , also some of the best box art and one of the best Manuals too , hell even the Colour print on the disc its self looks ace .

I'm from the UK but have lived in Japan for 11 years now. I'll be here forever. Got my own house, wife, son and car. So even if \i wanted o leave it wouldn't be easy

You don't sound too enthusiastic about your current circumstances I'm sure you could move somewhere else eventually if you really wanted (perhaps when your kid has grown up?).
