No, I like where I live but the Japanese mentality is so annoying. Where as in the UK the "average" mentality is dumb ass or at least in Liverpool is seemed that way, in Japan it's stubborn sod even when it's plainly clear there's a better solution to things. Anyway, I'm going off topic now

I was lucky enough to get a fair sized haul of Dreamcast stuff yesterday. UK system, 3x pads, umpteen VMU's, Action Replay CDX, 4 Meg memory card, Sega Race Controller, Mad Catz wheel & pedals and SegaSaturn Twin Sticks with DC convertor! Not to mention about 40 games including Ikaruga, Rez and VO:OT.

I'm well chuffed. I foolishly sold my DC collection a few years ago and have always regretted doing so. Funnily enough even my good lady has said I have never to sell another console.

One of my mates was over for a bit today and he handed me a box of Dreamcast stuff! I've gone from zero to two DC's in less than 24 hours and it's not cost me anything. I will give the respective previous owners some though. I'm not that tight even though I'm Scottish!

A very nice rarity turned up in the post today. A Mega CD Sample disc! You don't see these very often in Japan unlike in the UK. This one is for Record of Lodoss War.

It's mostly PAL stuff but there are some gems in there. I've separated the dross out and stuck it all up the loft. Even have a VGA cable in there so I have one machine hooked up with my retro stuff into a 32" Loewe CRT and the other one will be going into my Loewe LCD TV via VGA when I pick a switch box of some description.
I had the 360 and my old DC sharing a VGA input on my old LCD TV via a splitter cable but leaving the DC attached made the 360's picture go dull. I'm kind of wondering how good the picture will be going from 480p to 1080p. Thats a fair stretch. Having said that I play DVDs via my EP35 at 480/576p and let the TV do the scaling and they look pretty good.
Loving play Mars Matrix yesterday though.
