Yeah, I have one of those myself since they seem to be absolutely everywhere around here. It's quite nice, aside from the fact that the buttons have a bit of a cheap feel.

As for the D-Pad... personal preference I guess. I've never liked Nintendo D-Pads, too flat and mushy, but I primarily used Sega consoles back then so that would make sense.

Playing SNES games with a Saturn pad just feels wrong to me, although I've been more than happy with the USB version for stuff like Sonic and Gunstar Heroes on the PS3.

I play basically everything on sticks now anyway, even stuff like Mario..

Gran Turismo on a stick was pretty funny too. lol

I have a friend that played Mega Man 10 on his TE. Beginning to suspect that he's a masochist.

That's the biggest gaming myth there is, granted Megaman 9 & 10 are insane due to to the designers believing in that myth.

All the rest of the original Megaman games and the X one's are a piece of piss, back when I was about 10 myself my brother and friends from school used to finished them on a daily basis.

Still to this day I can finish each of them in a couple of hours, sure you die a few times but as a series in general it's one of the easiest there is.

                Don't believe in the myth.

Well, I was mainly thinking of 9 and 10 during the typing of that statement up there. But cool. Maybe I'll try em out soonish.

I had Megaman X4 on the Saturn and played it with the Zero character. It was so tough I almost exploded on several occasions. I got to the last boss but knew I'd never beat it so I gave up.

That was where my first console came from, A USA Snes ?100 if I remember correctly. Was Dale the young bloke that worked there?

Yeah, that was probably Dale. I remember seeing an Ad somewhere (trade it probably) for Dales Megadrive Club and a relative took me to a house on Bloomfield Road and a teenager (probably) with a bunch of Megadrive games for sale. A while later seems he got a shop! It always made me chuckle that he carried on using DMC when he started the shop :-)

Regarding Megaman, isn't Ghosts N Goblins, Ghouls etc harder? I was reading about it recently and it bought back memories of playing the Megadrive version for weeks, just dying constantly.

I tried Ghost N Goblins the other day on PSP for the first time.

                            Brutal.

I hate Megaman games to be honest. The respawn just shouts out cheap design to me. They are hard games or at least the SFC and Saturn games were. I never played the orignals though. The scrolling screen system put me off.

Ghouls'n Ghosts games are also very hard but at least that's not down to respawning.

I find both the Megadrive and SNES versions of Ghouls n Ghosts fairly easy to be honest. Most of the Megaman games are way harder. I think it's a superb series and I rate Megaman 1-3 as the absolute finest games on the NES and possibly the best platform games of that generation. I don't get the hate, maybe it's because the character has been dragged through the mud with all the horrific modern spin offs.
