Nice one Speedy. Are you gonna keep it for a whole week?

Very funny. Nah, point in buying this is that I'm not going to sell it because it's worth nothing. I couldn't even bring myself to use nice boxed limited edition consoles.

My Dreamcast is a similar fare, and I've owned that 5 years.

What's the official RGB cable look like? I'm 99.99% sure my duff model 1 came with one, but a tiny bit of OCD in me needs to know for sure! (nice bargain by the way!)

It's unmarked like the Dreamcast one.

Just a couple of purchases from me this week. Crazy Taxi on the DC, purchased from an actual games shop!! (they even had boxed retro consoles for sale). Then a Hand Cannon for 50p from a charity shop - for retro style gaming I guess ;-)

And a 161-in-1 MVS cart to while away some time - eBay job this time

Cheers :-) I can sleep easy tonight :-)

A little bit I'd me gets excited when I pick up an official cable for a bargain, sad I know!

Well, a RGB cable for Saturn from eBay would have cost me ?8 anyway, so I basically paid postage on the Saturn. lol

lolita, how you gonna hook it up to an LCD in future? I've been using my Jpn Saturn over RGB on my LCD HD TV and not only does it look bad but I get a rolling picture :-/ Hook it up to a non-RGB SCART socket on the TV.. it's fine

The cable is fine in the other socket because the other socket is displaying a composite image.

The image I posted is an LCD. Do this..

If I were you I really wouldn't bother, to be honest. Seems like getting a unit that hasn't seen heavy use is a real lottery, and both of the units I've had have had a strange problem with PlayStations via RGB SCART- after around twenty minutes of use they developed flickering bars at the top of the screen, which was incredibly irritating during play. The lack of RGB shifting is also annoying, so I've gone back to one of the last consumer models. I'm sure that a mint PVM was a lovely bit of kit in its day but I just can't bothered with decasing a CRT to make minor adjustments anymore, especially when said consumer model has access to RGB shift and rotation via the normal menus. These days it's probably better to use an SLG3000 with an LCD monitor that has a low response time and minimal input lag.

Id prefer a sony consumer model like this

Excellent picture and all the adjustments you would need in the secret service menu - (GEO Settings)

That's a great TV, I've got a slightly smaller version myself.

What's this about a a secret service menu?
