Yep, it's one of them :-) they've got me hooked on MVS now. Still tempted with a supergun next (definitely no room or permission to hhave a cab lol)

Only reason I'm not doing a supergun yet is because I'm not 100% which PSU would be best to use..

I've got one of them dinky little ATX PSU's that you power from a something like an laptop PSU

But no idea if it outputs -5v yet. But I have got a voltage regulator to take -12v down to -5v

Can't decide how best to house it all yet though....

Label seems to be a bit worn, but at least it's intact.

Not too fussed overall, just not gonna be buying any that have been re-cased and re-labelled. Was easier to find than KoF98 for some reason.

                Wife bought me this :-)

Haven't fired it up yet mind. Had one of these back in the 70's!

Ah, thanks. Always have been out of touch with the SNK side of retro videogames. Only heard of the idea of making a console out of a MVS only recently.

Are MVS as relatively straightforward to build as superguns?

Pretty much like building a supergun, just directly onto a board I guess.

Most of the PSone games i buy in bulk from the bootsales, bought breath of fire 3 for under a ?10 off ebay

The NES is almost brand new, just a few scuffs to the box and the console looks as good today as it did in the 80's, not bad for ?30 including mario 3, mario and duck hunt and the zapper, 2 controllers.

The gamecube link cable was ?2 from the bootsale.

All the official playstation mag demos were 9 for ?1 and demo 1 was 50p.

Billy Hatcher - now there's a game with annoying music! Great little gem though.
Bit of a blast from the past seeing Heart of Darkness there too. Did that come with the 3D glasses? Kind of strange to think we have recently gone back to 3D again.

Think I might just go for a full supergun instead of consolising this MVS.

Haha I have one of them at home too, plus another Binatone. I think everyone has one tucked away in the loft, I call the wii the modern binatone. (junk that ends up in loft but everyone had one under the telly at one point)

I've had that same unit before, nice retro system, though dunno how it would fare on a 50" LCD 0_o. Looks in ace condition.
